"Undeterred, AVG – best known for its free anti-virus tool – has launched a brand new service. AVG LiveKive offers three backup packages, including two paid subscriptions: 25GB ($49.99 per year) and - at launch - an unlimited package for $79.99 per year. The free account offers a generous 5GB storage.
AVG LiveKive is basically a rebadged version of the same client software used by the SpiderOak backup service, which means it’s simple to use and very easy on the eye. The beta version was Windows-only, but the final release - like SpiderOak - comes in both Windows and Mac flavours, while there's also a free iPhone/iPad and Android app for accessing your files through your smartphone."
So it looks like AVG is getting into the cloud backup arena as well and this is their intro offer. Being a BETA release, there's only windows clients, and it remains to be seen what their SLA is like. Still $20 for unlimited online storage isn't bad. I'm guessing at the end of the year, it's going to cost significantly more than this initial offer.
There's also a 25gb package for $14.95AUD..

an interesting tid bit:
"In the event you chose an unlimited storage option for the AVG Paid Services, your usage of the Services if in excess of 500GB may at AVG’s sole discretion be subject to additional usage fees"
I'm not disapproving of their services, but its not quite as 'unlimited' as they claim.
