  • Is that good enough to cover surcharge?

    • I mean, you only need to spend $50?
      1000 points is worth $5

  • 1000 bonus points are worth minimum $5 which makes it 10 percent off minus the surcharge.

So I guess it is good enough (~ 7% off). Might be helpful for some who are already using it or good to try a new tech app

Is this like BPay or Post Billpay ?

  • Targeted? Didn't receive on any of my cards.

There was an earlier discussion on the forums about this and the surcharges seemed quite high. Not sure if it's changed but it looks like they've been reduced to a slightly more reasonable level?

    Debit - 0.00%
    VISA/MasterCard - 1.50%
    VISA/MasterCard International - 3.00%
    AMEX - 1.50%

That's not great, but also not too bad, yeah? Basically for the sake of this deal you're "buying" 1k points for a minimum of $0.75 (1.5% of $50 if my math is correct.)

Oh wow that’s really good 1.5% with AMEX

    • I am charged 0.51% for VISA debit for Urban Utilities bill

  • Good alternative to be able to use Amex and earn points with BPAY (albeit with surcharge).

Thanks OP - 1000 points for 75 cents - pretty good deal to me.

This could be good for ATO payments?

  • Tried to pay strata fees which BPAY is DEFT Payments, but in the Sniip app says Amex not accepted…?

    • having the same problem with my water bill

  • I have spend $100, get $10 back which is 10% off which will help offset the surcharge. Haven't heard of Sniip before though, will see what bills I can pay through them.
