  • Which version of Bluetooth ?

  • Does this have a tuner? I can't seem to find it in the details…

    • Who listens to the radio?

    • Yes. :)

      • +1

Shame it doesn't support digital radio.

  • Yep. Good work @jv.

      Thank you Karen from Brighton…

      • Pleased there is at least one other person who remembers them.

  • You’ll also need to find a car >15 year’s old that doesn’t have these features

    • I'd say you're better off going the whole hog and going with a double din unit w/ rear camera.

      • some cars won’t have space for double din ……

    • The head unit has been the first thing to die in every car I've had. Altho it was always the cd player that broke.. Largely irrelevant these days I guess.

    • I have a 2001 Hyundai. Replaced the last unit with an ebay cheapie, but it's playing up recently. This one is a consideration for me… then again, the cheapies are pretty cheap.

  • thanks my head unit literally just died

No CD, no deal for me.

I thought the CD days are over ? Bluetooth and online music streaming serviers are what people use most..

      • MP3 discs are what I listen to in the car. I make my own playlists. Hundreds of songs post CDR.

        • +2

I listen to MP3 in my car as well, the difference is I have them on a USB stick.
Could put them on the phone that also connects to the head unit.
          Spotify etc. is another option.

        • +3

a cheap $128GB usb stick can replace more than 150 mp3 discs

          • +1

@GregFiona: yep and with usb don’t have to worry the summer sun, if you leave cdr on the seat.

    • Who listens to the CD (no?)

  • Got the previous model, instantly synchs with my phone BT and plays all my music and phone calls thru the stereo, who needs CD when you can have 1000s of songs on your phone or USB stick 😋

  • This one is 169.00

    And this one is 179.00

Is it worth buying one of these instead single DIN for 109.00?

    • i personally like the sleek single din unit, takes less space. Unless double din are touch screen. They look ugly

    • depends if you have space for a double din, if you do, double din seem to come with more stuff and bigger displays, my car can only accept single din.

  • Does it fit nicely for a corolla hatch 2009 model?

Can I easily replace the Toyota radio panel by this?

    • You need a double din. The iso harness for your car will help too.
I just did a Tucson. Bit of a rigmarole getting the radio out but not that difficult. Check YouTube.

It will, but why not spend the extra coin and get something with CarPlay and Android Auto.

But, if you're on a tight budget and really want this, you'll need 10mm trim "ears" and a pocket (here), along with either ISOs (head unit side, vehicle wiring side) or crimp pins to suit the Toyota plugs. You'll also need a SWC interface adapter if you have steering wheel controls.
