Be mindful of what SSD's you buy. Toms Hardware recently found some manufactures have been switching to lower performing parts after the SSD was reviewed. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/adata-and-other-ssd-makers…

    • What’s your opinion of the best all round SSD brand ? I keep hearing ADATA but I’m leaning more towards a Crucial.
Honestly have no idea about SSDs.

Edit: 2.5” SSD vs the other (forgot) is there a massive difference in read write speed ?

Pretty sure ADATA is one of such suppliers who swapped to lower performing parts on their fastest drives.

I think the most consistent brand over the years had been Samsung, but the others can be good as well. Tom's Hardware do a good SSD roundup, but there is tons of good info out there from other sources too.

And yes, can be a huge difference depending on what format you are using, and it's very confusing to boot. But as a really quick role of thumb, SATA is much much slower than NVMe

  • Good deal, thanks.

The 1TB version is coming up as in-store only, despite being over $79 and also having the "Free Shipping" label attached.
