    Great work Cashrewards!

No reason to get the 3% off eBay gift cards from Shopback now.

  • This is awesome, Thanks OP

For those haven't brought from coles deal. $50 for 2000pts.and if your cashier is nice, you may use gift card to buy gift card. Yes, in theory it is not allowed.

  • +1

Only if they had them during black friday's $10 bonus. These would have sold like hot cakes.

  • -5

Just remember to jump thru these hoops.

It can take up to 7 days for a store to automatically track and report sales to Cashrewards. If your transaction hasn’t appeared in your Cashrewards account after 7 days, the best option is to complete a Cashback Claim via your ‘My Click History’ by clicking the yellow 'Send A Claim' button.

    And you might get lucky.

Literally every comment of yours is hating on CR. Maybe if you followed the instructions or used the CR app, you wouldn't be so bitter … Unless there's a secret agenda?

      • -2

No secret agenda, I'm posting the exact instructions CR gave me.

        Trust the process I guess.

But in reality why should us as CR customers have to jump through so many hoops to get what CR has promised.

In this day and age it should all be automated.

I wouldn't invest in CR IPO as they obviously have very poor software and systems to manage their business.

Secretly a Shopback rep in disguise
cool undercover boss music plays in background

So you don't like shopback? As an ozbarginer you should embrace both.

But thanks for the tip, I'll give shopback a go, it surely can't be as convoluted as CR

          • +2

@Uncle Leo: I have.. mixed reviews on Shopback. Their deals are good, their security was/is terrible so accounts got hacked, customer support is okay if you keep negative experiences quiet otherwise you won't get a response. Oh, and the app is basically the only way things track.

As an Ozbargainer, why aren't you embracing both?

            • @pennypincher98: I use CR but when trying to claim a legimate cash back I get put through the ringer.

My problem is that why should the customer have to constantly be chasing our rebates.

Common sense tells me that CR wants to make it difficult as they profit when customer's throw their hands in the air and give up.

              • @Uncle Leo: I've used both, have had issues having things track sometimes with both, have had good customer experiences with both getting things sorted.

Never used the app for either, only online. Largest cashback tracked through SB was about $400 on a Dell Laptop and it tracked perfectly.

I am also a software developer, lots of web work, and can imagine many of the ways that the tracking can go wrong (I have various layers of adblocking all of which would make tracking difficult if I don't explicitly disable it when I want something to track). What you want for having things track successfully is exactly the stuff that you're generally trying to block to have a safe and happy online experience.

                • @ely: sorry replied to wrong comment, please ignore

            • @pennypincher98: I've always found shopback much better at tracking than CR. I've only had one SB I've had to follow up & that was done quickly by their customer support whereasI had loads to follow up with CR. I don't use the app. for either.

    • +3

Untick associated. You are just using it as a way of drawing attention to yourself.

Get ready for the nightmare of shopback. CR generally support missing cashback claims. SB are on the opposite end of the spectrum. So I gather from tonnes of comments on OzB.

SB also seems to have a tendency to reject or not track big cashbacks. Also what I determined from OzB comments.

Personally it is too hard to track what is happening with the delays in claims so I dont bother lodging claims. But the CR app is better at keeping tabs on what happens.

You honestly do look like SB staff. If you are not, my general advice is: use the apps. Update them before purchasing and do not switch away from the app until purchase is complete. Don't fart around either - know what you want and get it done fast.

      • SB also seems to have a tendency to reject or not track big cashbacks.

        Can vouch for this.

During last week's string of BFCM deals, none of my ebay purchases tracked from SB, but the CR ones all did. Same browser, same process (using extensions), been doing this for over 4 years.

SB tends to "randomly" not track when they increase rates, or when you activate their "rewards"/"challenges", it's a rort.

Not getting the pre-auth payment for the verification code :(.

    • Same issue here. Tried multiple cards, didn't get any $1 pre-auth payment for verification code.

      • Sounds like it's blocked between TrueRewards and your bank for some reason but certainly something TrueRewards can fix:

For queries regarding the purchase of your Gift Card, contact the team at True Rewards on 1800 850 739 Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) 9am - 5pm AEST, or email [email protected]

        • Must be issue from your end or TrueRewards end. Tried again with 4 different cards. No pre-auth $1 charged.

FYI, I did it on mobile web.

Btw, is this an ongoing offer or when it will expire?

  • And if that doesn't work, then do this.

This 'Send a Claim' button will display 8 days after your purchase date. You can file a claim anytime of the day or night through your Cashrewards account and once we receive the claims request from you, our claims team will investigate the issue with the store on your behalf. Please note that no store will investigate an untracked claim after 60 days from the purchase date. We encourage members to file a Cashback Claim if their transaction was not tracked by the store before 45 days and ideally after 8 days from the purchase date.

These deals from TrueRewards look good, but I can't get past the $1 card verification thing. Nothing gets charged to my card… no pre-auth whatsoever. I've emailed them about it but waiting to hear back. I don't want to use another card, I want to use the one I've been trying!

    • Hi bonez. Not sure why you're having issues. We've certainly tested this thoroughly prior (and since) and can't replicate. As per my comment above, TrueRewards will certainly be able to rectify. Please do let us know how you go :)

      • Also having the same issue. Tried with 3 different banks too, both debit and credit cards.

      • No luck yet. They emailed me 6 days ago asking me to check that my card details were correct and try again. If that didn't work, they'd escalate to the development team. I emailed them back the next day letting them know all was correct after testing 3-4 times again.

        No response since.

BigW offering 2000/1000 rewards points for a $100/$50 gift card that can be redeemed on eBay.

  • +1

Great timing, just made a purchase on ebay! ;)
Everything worked instantly. (Bank account, email to redeem, swap for ebay card, code used and saved 5%. Plus ebay extra 3%.)
And it's already showing in CR.

    • saved 5%. Plus ebay extra 3%

Is this 5% off gift card and then the 3% off "sitewide" code you are meaning?

      • -1

        Yep.

        • -1

Everyone I know loaded with 10 % off Ebay cards .
You need to wake up !
Its not like they haven't been on offer the last 2 weeks lol .

          • +3

@popsiee: I'm sorry, I must have been asleep! WHAT 10% of eBay cards??

          • @popsiee: That's a bit like saying Coke was on special last week… Doesn't help me get a cheap bottle today!
P.s. And whilst your money is sitting there in ebay cards earning 0%, the money I didn't need to spend on ebay is earning a $#!tload more than that 5% you saved by loading up on cards a couple of weeks ago! 😂

  • So 5% off PlayStation store dollars? Nice! But with a $100 minimum. 🤔

  • How come I can’t find this gift card on the mobile app ? Is it only avail on desktop ? Thanks guys

  • +2

    $100 minimum…………..

    When is this promo ends?

  • +2

Does the gift card have an expiry date?

  • +1

Can we buy multiple of these?

  • The tracking email says "Once Choice Gift Card confirms your cashback, it will be added to your available rewards. This can take anywhere from one to 100 days." Is that normal? Edit: nvm. It's CR's standard blurb - it's on my other tracking emails for other merchants too.

  • When does promotion end?

  • Worked very well, basically instantaneous.
Only hoop was hooking up & verifying my CC to my CR account.

    • I had a problem with that because my CC doesn’t list the verification code until the next day or so. Now I have a problem that the verification email for TrueRewards isn’t showing up. Maybe their servers are overloaded.

Can we still swap for Ebay cards? the Ebay cards are still on the site but removed from the description on cashrewards

  • +1

will you still get cash back on $30 choice card or does it have to be $100?

    • I received cashback for the $30 purchase (pending) not yet sure of the bonus which applied yesterday (targeted) and today.

  • If these egift cards are instant, Can I buy these now and utilize at Myer tomorrow?
