Some more on-sale links here for those who have standard account and need to spend $39+

    • I think it's worth mentioning on that page, that the discounts of 50% or greater aren't reflective of the actual discount. Most of those titles have only actually had $3-4 off like Snowpiercer which usually sits around $11 according to camel x3. Just don't want people thinking they're saving large amounts on some titles when they actually aren't as Amazon has been doing this savings tactic thing since like May (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/538313).

Thanks for sharing that though if non-prime members want to reach that $39 threshold!

      • Thanks. Yes I am new to Prime Day & Black Friday.
Spent a lot of time on ozb, and actually expected 50% off on many more items, but have been very dissapointed with both sales.

I guess your comment just confirms it, either bad discounts or misleading prices.

        • That's all good! I think it's the latter point, just misleading. There are some great deals for sure, but I think Amazon are either trying to clear old stock by showing large discount prices, or they just know that a consumers eyes will light up when they see an astronomical discount on an item.

Regardless, it's just good to be aware. Camel x3 is a good way of seeing the average price for items (especially films) over the last couple of months if you ever doubt whether Amazons listed discount is true or misleading.

          All the best.

        • Yep.

Was better when they first came to Aus, now they're passing mild discounts on normal prices for things that never sell anywhere for their RRP, and flogging off their home spying devices.

Had my fingers crossed for a few different items but will probably cancel my prime membership once the sales wrap up.

  • too bad the movie sucks

    • ooooooff , Hot take

      • here's another one for you, Tarantino peaked with Reservoir Dogs.

        • Thoughts on Death Proof then lel ?

Here is a good suggestion: Nightcrawler (2014).
I watched it on SBS on demand.
Maybe I like it more than others because I can relate to the character. But I would say it is a good movie, especially for a recent one.

      • True, it kept me on the edge for 2 hours

      • not sure its anything like this movie, but very good recommendation nonetheless.

2014 might have been the 2010's best year for movies just off the top of my head, Whiplash, Interstellar, Gone Girl, Birdman, Snowpiercer, Grand Budapest Hotel…

        • Gone Girl

Yes David Fincher, i liked Gone Girl, Zodiac, the Social Network.

        • One more by David Fincher I forgot “The Game” was very good.

    • I agree, to fix it I have made my own director's cut cutting out all the parts with Di Caprio alone and the Sharon's Tate cinema trip.

  • Also if you have Amazon Prime, it's already on prime videos

Best part is where Brad kicks Bruce Lees butt.
