        • In the case of a CC, I get slugged an interest rate on the amounts not paid in full. If that's the equivalent, Zip Pay is charging me $6 flat. Is that correct?

          Zip Pay by the way is charging $6 a month up to $1,000. That means up to $72 pa or 7.2%, which I guess is still cheaper than a credit card…

            @quarrymaster: Yeah but that's if you never managed to fix up your balance for the entire year. Also I don't think that 7.2% doesn't mean much and looks much worse when you also get charged $6 when you owe anywhere between $1-1000. Only good thing about it to me is these "deals."

    Came here originally to say what a crap experience with Amazon I had yesterday and this morning, thought I was ready and managed to add one to the cart only to be waitlisted, within seconds after 9AM and it then showed only 83% claimed. Wut?

    Gave it a shot and got one! That was even after a couple of minutes past 9?

    Anyway, hopefully ACS is ok. Can't say I've come across them before, but seems to be the one backed by Amazon's Lightning Sale.

    • real bad experience with Amazon. I got waitlisted yesterday and then got a notification only to find the price was 299 instead of 249 which I passed. But looking at comments Amazon support refunded the 50$ to the buyers. And then missed today’s too (got waitlisted again on 9:00 AM sharp and never got the notification). total disappointment :(

    Snagged a set. Couldn’t find deal on Safari. Tapped Oz B's Go to Deal at 9:00am which opened Amazon app. There it was. Tapped add to cart. All good. Hopefully ACS are reputable dealers.

      • Reading posts here, looks like none of Monday’s orders have shipped from ACS yet. My tracking now says coming Tuesday (assume 8th), and shows not yet dispatched. Woohoo, the little green connector line IS getting closer to Dispatch status. Maybe ACS are waiting on Apple to supply stock? ACS Store physically located in Sydney so should be ok.

        • Amazon handles the shipping. They should have it in stock. Even you buy it now shows 10 Dec delivery. Maybe too many orders to process last weekend, there is a little delay.

  • I ordered a set on Sunday, got them today with Prime delivery to Melb. However from looking at the base of the box, it looks like it wasn't local Australian stock and seems to be Malaysian stock. The sticker on the base says "For Malaysia: Apple Malaysia…"
    Did anyone else get this? And wasn't it supposed to be Australian stock?

    I haven't opened the packaging yet, was thinking of contacting Amazon and questioning them as well.

      All AirPods sold in Australia have that sticker, even the ones from the AU Apple store. People always ask the same question whenever there's an airpod deal

      To check authenticity, just look up the serial number on the apple website

      Theyre genuine items

      Fake ones will have no noise cancellation and you can't change the settings for that either on the phone.

      • I did see a YouTube video that say's there's better fakes out there now that has the noise cancelling as they've improved.

        I wouldn't have thought that Amazon would ship non-genuine items, I was just amazed the box didn't show Apple Australia as the contact.

    • Lucky, i think because i ordered something else that was also coming from the Sydney warehouse they coupled my delivery together. Mines on track for delivery early next week

    Good news is it's delivered!

    Bad news is it's delivered 6 hours away from me, and Amazon is offering a refund, which is unacceptable.

    Hopefully it will get retrieved and redirected back to me.

    [Update] No change from AusPost - just says delivered, but Amazon says apparently it's been retrieved and will be redirected. So probably original ETA of Monday was correct after all. LOL

  • Ordered on Monday, shipped on Wednesday from Moorebank NSW with Courier Please. Destination is South-West Sydney and it has been with Courier Please since and no updates.

    Amazon shows ETA as next Tuesday 8 December, I'm puzzled of why it's taking so long when another item I purchased from Amazon on Monday was shipped to me from Dandenong VIC and it arrived on Wednesday.

    FYI My Price Protection claim from 28 degrees was approved, thanks Op! The Bargains that keep on giving! So went from paying $322.05 on this with OW Pricematch originally after a "The School Locker" deal was posted here, and the price protected down to $249.

  • i’m very pissed off at the amazon au customer service. ordered on monday at $249, they cancelled my order for no reason and after hours of being on the phone with them, they had me order new airpods for $385 and said they would refund me $140.99. Today they called me saying that they could only refund me $50, so now i’m airpodless and pissed off. This was my first and last experience with Amazon au, I’ll probably get them pm at OW and just pick them up in store

    • They refunded me $100 (I paid $347) but it was split across multiple orders of $50. The rep told me the maximum the system allowed them to refund for airpods is $50.

      As this is your first order, they don’t have other items to refund the amount on so you should insist on asking for a supervisor to override the system exception or provide other remedies, to honour the refund amount.

      My experience with Amazon customer service has always been pretty good. Keep trying until you find a rep who will be willing to go above and refund you the amount. I suggest live chat

      • yeah they said the same about the max the system allows them to refund and while i asked for a way to escalate it they said they couldn’t honor it (supervisor said there’s nothing else they can do), even though they sent me an email stating they would give me the refund. now i’m just waiting for them to cancel my order and give me a refund, it’s been a very stressful few days

        • You should definitely contact them again via chat (if the order hasn’t been cancelled yet). Send them all the evidence. They will get it sorted. If the rep doesn’t budge, try another rep. Keep doing until they offer a remedy (usually first go works out, but sometimes have to try another rep to sort it out).. They initially offered a $100 gift card for me but I wanted a refund, so there are definitely other ways to make up for it

    Mine arrived today which I bought on Monday sale. Question is there is a separate barcode sticker on top of the box. Not sure it's genuine or not. Any one have the same issue?
    Edit - ok, so the model is MWP22, which looks like gray import to me. this is dodgy as hell. they didn't mention on the first place.

      yes arrived with sticker, pull off the plastic wrapping and you can see the serial number. search that up via apple's check coverage. if it returns a green tick, its genuine.

      if it has model number MWP22ZA/A, its AU stock.

      • I think the sticker you are referring is the actual Apple sticker which has “Malaysia” on it. And the one you are talking about is the seller’s own stick which only as a barcode with a serial number.

          It comes with a Malaysia sticker and these ones from Amazon have a seller sticker presumably to make it easier to scan when picking items

      Why exactly?

      I highly doubt Amazon are going to promote a third party selling fake AirPods Pro for one of their lightening deals on Cyber Monday.

    My set from ACS has model number MWP22ZA/A, its AU stock. The stores legit, it just has a store stock sticker too.

  • The pair I ordered Sunday arrived today via Auspost. Pair from Saturday is coming with Couriers Please and not until Friday at this stage…pretty slow for Amazon but can't complain if they're here before Christmas

    Serial check worries? Why doesn’t my serial number get recognised?

    Latest update:
    Spoke to Apple and it turns out the serial check (AppleCare on browser) only works for devices, not for accessories! AirPods are classed as accessories. Also Amazon is really slow at passing on purchase info to Apple, 10 days in my case.

    My AirPod Pros serial checked out ok with Apple in store (great!) but still wouldn’t validate on my browser. They finally worked out browser serial check limited to devices, got me to download the Apple Support app and select support for accessories. Putting serial number in there shows valid serial, 12 months Australian warranty and eligible for AppleCare.

    Select AirPods under 'Products' tab, the select 'Apple Care+ or Warranty' under tab. Then enter Serial number.

  • Asked these guys a tax invoice and 2 weeks later never heard anything back from them. Sent them another message last week and still nothing. Are these guy dodgy or what?

    Checked serial on apple service app and says warranty expires 16/7/2021, that's afew month short of 12 month. Anyone else have that issue?

    • Warranty 8/12/2021 shows for my serial. Supplier was ACS who appear legit based on my purchase experience with them. Check in with Apple, they’ll sort it out for you.

    • it is dodgy after 1 week of use the airpods pro is not working on the left side suddenly when i tried to service them to apple store they said they only tried to service them but if its still not working they are not able to exchange them with a new one as it is the responsibility of the store that sells them. so in the end i just refund the airpods to amazon
