I can attest, I've been using mine for 3 months now daily and haven't had to charge it since full charge 3 months ago. Battery is a beast.

    • I got the 14-in-1 just recently for $119. Just charged it once and still using it day in day out without the need to re-charge it!

14-in-1 is still available for $119 below:

      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/579649

    • Bought mine (I think, looks identical) a few years ago and must have charged it maybe 3-4 times. maybe.
I don't shave every day and haven't the most to shave but even to hold its charge I'm beyond impressed.
I've taken zero care of it and it powers on without even a peep, a strong recommendation from me.

  • I swear ozbargain is watching me. Mine broke last night. Bought in 2018. Not sure if still under warranty though?

    • It quite likely still is. I bought mine last year, and my warranty is until 2025. Register (if you haven't already done so) at https://www.philips.com.au/myphilips/ and see. I've had a shaver replaced by them under warranty once, and it was easy as.

      • Do shaver shop replace if bought from Amazon if it's still under warranty?

        • +1

The Shaver Shop or Amazon would address any issues initially if purchased from them as, well, that's how consumer laws work here. If it breaks after using it for a while, you would most likely be best contacting Philips themselves to get it replaced under the manufacturer warranty.

        • Amazon will or they will just refund you, returns are till 31/1/21 too.

      • Hmmm called shaver shop and they said only 2 years. I'm 2 years and 3 months……..bugger

….so go to the link to Philips I put above, create an account and register your shaver (will probably need to upload a scan of your receipt), and it will show how much manufacturer warranty (as opposed to whatever a retailer like the Shaver Shop may provide) is remaining if any. Assuming there is, then raise a warranty claim with Philips - not the Shaver Shop….

Can someone please help me with these two? Which one I go for?

Depends what you most want to use it for. Reviews seem to indicate a number of men use the BG7030 for grooming the last turkey in the shop (https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=last%20turke…), whilst the 7000 seems to be used to trim facial hair, side burns, nose hair, ear hair, heads….

The BG7030 doesn't have the range of hair lengths (5 versus 8 plus nose and mini trimmer) for trimming. The ability to adjust the hair length for trimming with a slider rather than swapping heads is good (faster to do plus less things to store) in some ways, but in others could be an issue - with one trimmer I had I kept accidentally moving the slider whilst using it which wasn't great for an even trim. Personally the dual head 'feature' of the BG7030 would annoy me, plus my experience with accidental cut length changes would mean I'd still lean towards the 7000 (which I've had for a while now).

Much appreciated. Thanks. I will go with this one

    • That Amazon link is also a US shipped listing, though the voltage is compatible it will come with a US plug you need to use a converter for.

Actually i have bought this same trimmer from the Amazon US website before and all i did was call the Phillips Customer Service here and they sent me out a Australian plug free of charge with express post from Singapore. It arrived here in under a week.

All they asked me was to verify where I had bought it from, that's it. Hope this helps.

That's fantastic to know, was on the fence about it (don't like the idea of using converter full time in the bathroom) but this settles it. Thanks for the input!

      • It's already shipped today. I am surprised that it delivered with 2 days of purchase and on Sunday. It has AU plug to confirm.
