Seems to be the lowest price posted on ozb
PCCG is still selling them for $270 & $250 at Mwave
Perfect timing as I've just filled up my 4tb in my desktop.
Dont forget Cashback (if there are any)

This is an SMR drive so not optimal for NAS

*correction
I got an ironwolf in my nas, not barracuda. oops
Barracuda 8tb uses SMR. I wouldn't use it for a NAS.
Should have mentioned, about the only thing my NAS does is serve Plex videos… rarely! Is it the speed or being 'always on' that makes these unsuitable?
this helped answer my own question

Cant beat WD
WD black are great, but id personally rather pay more than half the price for the same capacity barracuda (haven't faulted me so far) and pocket the $270+ dollars.
I'm surprised to hear that someone here doesn't know how to shuck WD elements as a ozbargainer
its not delivered price
delivery is extra $14
FREE Expedited International Delivery : get it by Monday, Dec 14
Do you have Prime? Maybe it's free delivery for Prime users only, not sure.
Let me know.
ok. thanks.
dont have prime
usually prime in title. but thanks for posting
I thought it'd be free delivery over a certain price point from US even for non-prime users. Updated title, thanks.
thanks OP! Scored one earlier during 12% cashback from Shopback making it only $180 shipped :)
Note these are 5400rpm. 7200 is much faster.
I assume these aren't suitable for NAS?
