"Not valid in conjunction with any other offer (including Frugal Friday offers, Special offers, LivePrice offers and products marked as "On Sale") "

ie not valid on any product at the time/price you would actually want to buy something from Kogan

    • -1

also only valid for kogan branded products…

      • +2

Must admit I have a hard time finding any of their products I'd want to buy, but if you did this is still $51 off, so worthy of a mention.

I have their Deluxe DAB+ Internet Radio which is thoroughly worth the money.
It looks good, feels decent and works entirely as expected.
In fact works better than expected, the sound it can pump out is impressive in both volume and clarity.
As a replacement Clock Radio, it is everything I have been looking for and more.

      • why are you negging…. you have not given a reasonable reason

  • +1

Pretty weak deal considering other regular offers will bring a larger saving

    e.g. live price

  • +7

Very poor, highly restrictive deal. The B-grade citizen of giftcard land.

No iPads, no Galaxies, no on-sale items.

I'm struggling to see a value proposition in this offering. Sorry.

with all the attached fine print it seems like a marketing gimmick rather than something useful

  • +3

*Additional gift cards cannot be purchased with this gift card

    There goes my retirement plans.

  • Awesome deal….It'a saving - so worth it!

  • Let's assume that that I'd been given a kogan gift card as a gift and had been trying to use it, would I be wondering, "With so many cards to choose from, why on earth has the gifter decided on this highly restrictive one?"

In short, "Would I be thrilled to receive a kogan gift card as a gift?"

    • +1

Because it's 50% off! (albeit with all the restrictions)
In my opinion buying a gift card cheap is the ONLY reason to ever buy a Gift Card, otherwise, I give cash, which is better in EVERY respect.

But I agree, the limited expiry and the restrctions on this deal make it a poor gift, but a nice way to save some cash on full priced Kogan stock if you have your eye on something and can't wait for a LivePrice or other Special.

I would only get this for myself if I was already thinking about buying specific kogan products.

In this regard, this is is essentially a pre-purchased discount voucher and you might run the risk of being labelled a cheapskate if you gave this as a gift.

Edit: The true value of a gift is not its face value but what it cost the giver.

    • "Would I be thrilled to receive a kogan gift card as a gift?"

thrilled in as "how much can i flog this crap off for on cardlimbo?"

  • +2

they retrospectively changed the terms and conditions on the last gift card special

  • it's a no no for me

  • All the restrictions on when you can use it = not really a gift card at all.
It's just a glorified version of those bullshit coupons you always get in the "big yellow envelope".

  • +3

this is a great gift card…for people you hate. Get a discount only off the full retail price that Kogan has made up!! Brilliant.

  • +1

Kogan Dab+ radios have some good reviews and if I could get $51 off the price would make this a good deal.

  • I'll give this a miss too, my main issue (amongst others) is the single use per check-out

  • Thanks for pointing out the "on sale" exclusion. Was on my way to Paypal until I read that.

  • So what are some of the cheapest kogan branded products they sell?

  • +1

Using one of these it works out to be $146.90 delivered for the Deluxe Wi-Fi DAB+ Digital Internet Radio with iPhone Dock. Is that a good deal? Doesn't seem special to me at first glance.

  • +1

What kind of gift card where you can only use 1 per check out? More like a coupon. Another deception from Kogan. Who else…

  • This has come at a good time since I was about to buy their $79 multi cyclonic vacuum and a spare filter for and extra $29. After buying this card it means I'll only pay $59 for both (plus shipping). Pretty happy with that.

  • Ok here's another variation from Kogan that might suit some people (found mentioned on Whirlpool):
