    • Yes but does it get to you on the 10th of December? Main thing was the pickup in store and price.

      • Fair enough

      • +5

Yeah Amazon aren't great at getting day one releases to you on time

        • +1

And the postal system is still subpar, spent the last week and a half playing catch/wait for your CPU with AusPost.

        • Isn't it a digital download on Amazon?

          • @Dhpongelc: that's what I wanna know too

            • +1

@V003: There are no actual physical versions of PC Cyberpunk, they all contain a download code for GOG.

        • I think Amazon either get it to you early or late, rarely actually on release day. I think you just have to check if it's sent out before release and if not cancel and get it somewhere else which is what I plan on doing.

    • +1

Doesn't appear to be Day One Edition

      • +1

Yeah I was thinking the same. Description seems to have The Day 1 Edition comes with the following physical items:

But as you know, Amazon never has matching titles to descriptions. So could go either way.

        • +1

Judging from the second picture in the amazon listing, it does contain all the physical goodies as well( stickers, postcards, reversible cover etc).

      • How? It says so in the title and the image below shows the Day One kit. Oh, your talking about the amazon one.

        • yep, Amazon one. I ordered it like 12 months ago (yes I'm keen), so we'll see ;)

  • +1

Also note JB has it for $79 but it does not seem to allow store pick-up.

    • Wait what? I have a click and collect preorder for it from jb

      • +1

well today it was only giving me the post option, could be a site error.

        • No idea. I preordered back in June though. Couldve changed since then. I hope I still can pick mine up 😬

          • @Lance Miranda: I'd say you should be fine, most like its about newer orders only 2 weeks-ish left to go.

    • Same, but bought from them anyway, +$6 for express, they post the day before, hopefully arrives by Wednesday, but we'll see.

    • +7

I'd pay $21.95 extra just to have a physical copy. $100 for a digital game is absurd.

      • +1

Absurd? It's personal preference. No reason the digital one should be worth more or less than physical, its the same game

        • +1

One reason to keep digital prices higher is for Sony to help preserve decades long relationships with retailers. They aren’t undercutting them.

        • Absurd? It's personal preference. No reason the digital one should be worth more or less than physical, its the same game

So why is the digital version more expensive then?

    • +5

On the other hand if this game doesn't live up to the hype and you want to sell it you're going to feel pretty daft having paid $22 extra for the right not to do that.

Always prefer physical even when it isn't 33% more expensive. I should get a discount for giving up resale.

      • +1

It's not going to be really about hype, loads of people think its a this or that game, the game is very much a RPG with some cool extras.

    • remember where you’re posting
hint: part of the name is shared with yours

      • +1

I'll make my own website then, called ozconvenient.com.au where people can post things to buy that are more convenient than competing products.

        • +1

It's a good point you raised, but after gaming for a while it does me good to stand up and change discs.

      • He didn’t post it, it was a comment. Not every comment needs to have a bargain in it.

    • $94 from Cdkeys.

I agree I prefer digital copies. People who hark on about trade in value, I just got a whole $0.50 for Destiny 1 at eb towards my next purchase 🙄

      • There is value to be had. Selling locally is probs smarter, not trading in at eb games. And doing it quicker than 6 years might help

        • Okay but are we playing games or becoming videogame merchants here. Just how much extra time do we need to put into this to get our full $20.50 extra worth.

  • +3

Reminder of the EB Games $29 with 2 Selected Trade In Deal, since it was posted so long ago, incase anyone prefers. See this post for eligible trade ins (or ring EB and ask).

    • +1

Yeah I saw that, to me it seemed like a waste of ones personal time compared to a straight up purchase. But that is a very good deal for a lot of people. I also have it paid for by my 28 Degrees Card so I should still save in the long run.

    • +2

That list is way off now. This week I tried trading in spider-man, borderlands 3, ac: odyssey and others on this list, all were rejected.

      • +1

Yep tried trading in a bunch of recent games with no luck. Stupid they don’t publish the list.

      • Shame to hear the list is outdated. Was meaning to ring up and check mine, but likely a no go. Also is upcoming 59 with eBay plus, but limited numbers.

      • damn, seems like they probs want very recent games?

  • Thanks to the poster that recommended a VPN with GOG.
Got the game for $30 USD.

    • +1

How did that work, was that from GOG web site?, which country does the VPN need to be in?

    • VPN connected to Russia, game shows up as 1999 Ruble on GOG which is roughly $37 AUD

      • I thought that version only have Russian language

      • +2

        game shows up as 1999

        You bought the prequel?

  • I'd like to know as well.
    TIA.

  • +1

Just going to put this out there, I just ordered a video game from HN last week, it took 10 days to arrive (8 business days), they used Aramex a.k.a. Fastway, a courier service I am not a fan of, without an option to select AusPost or another option. So if you're preordering, suggest picking up in store.

    • After seeing this (deal, not my own comment lol), went to JB instead, for +$1 they post the day before release which will be a Wednesday, paid express for $6 for a total of $85 and hopefully peace of mind, wish me luck, if you haven't bought yet and want Day One, I've put my money where my keyboard is I guess, so I suppose I recommend it if you can't find a better deal and want the Day One bonuses/content

  • +1

    Nice.

I am going to stack it with spend > $60 and save $20 offer (targeted?) from Latitude.

    Cheers.

  • +2

got this for $58 from harvey norman due to $20 discount by signing up for latitude pay.

    • Likewise… good deal.

  • Hasn't this been $78 for a while? Or at least it was when I preordered it to get some previous Latitude Pay deal (along with Marvel's Avengers).

    • The digital only copy is still $89.95 at GOG, this has the physical items as well and is $78. Overall a good deal if one wanted the game at this point in time.

      • As in, hasn't it been $78 at Harvey Norman for a while? Or at least it was $78 when I preordered a month or so ago through HN when there was the Latitude promo.
