These were $55.78 a couple of months ago from amazon - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/566477

    • Apparently that was a price error.

No it wasn't. I ordered one myself and it arrived ages ago.

Oh nice steal then! My bad, I read in the comments that they jacked the price back up after 1 hour, so assumed it was a price error. Good thing Amazon honoured it for you :)

        Mine got shipped.

My take on it is that at $55 it's worth buying — at $89 it isn't because at this price range there are better and quieter coolers

I mean, the whole point of a big chonky air cooler is that it's meant to be quiet but the A500 has been noted by Steve of Gamers Nexus to have a very uneven cold-plate which hurts it's performance by quite a bit.

It's basically a lemon product by Corsair. don't buy it at this price.

    • oh my god i need it at that price

These got pretty bad reviews, unless they've fixed some of the issues I'd steer clear and look for a deal on a Noctua cooler instead

D15 or D15S from Newegg for a little bit more should be a lot better.

Basically any Noctua within the appropriate price bracket will work way better.

Bought the low profile cooler for a server, and performance and acoustics are much better than coolers at the same price, even though it's much smaller.

  • corsair trading on their name only these days

    • Their PSU's are still good.

      • apart from the recalls
