Seems like a really good laptop deal. I have been searching for specs like this for under $900 and haven't found much at all. $836 with LOVEKEANU code.

Yes, you are missing the price
Yes! A description, a price, a store, a link. Actually any useful information at all is what is missing.
I think you should buy it!
Sold! lol
Yes, this is a good price, will need to upgrade from Windows S though. This is the lowest Inspiron tier laptop, but discrete graphics, i7 and 512GB SSD, 8 GB RAM 3200MHz (I assume has two slots for expansion). Go for it. The screen might be sub-par though.
Most things required by this site - Yes you are missing something…
Hey, it's my second post. Sorry guys.
Bro those specs for the price are insane!
The fact that is has 11th gen i7 sells itself
I'd check the screen specs tbh, the new inspiron 15 5000, have only 220 nits and 45% NTSC and some reviews said that the screen was almost unusable but I didnt look at the 3000 line.
"some reviews said that the screen was almost unusable "
I'm assuming this is outside because the screen shouldn't have any major issues inside unless you're a literal graphics designer or something along those lines.
edited: you are probs right - I'd personally look for a screen with 300nits minimum but your needs may vary.
I'll see myself out lol
I reckon it depends what you plan to use it for.
If you're inside all the time, maybe you're a student then 220 nits is enough.
For someone like me, I never put my laptop on full brightness. I don't like a super bright screen, I usually have it at 50% maybe 75%.
Now, if you like using your laptop at the cafe outdoors or anything like that then I agree go for at least 300 nits (even that is probably not enough if the sun is bright enough)
I can't find the detailed screen specs. I also can't find the bad reviews about the screen. The reviews on the Dell website are generally good for the 3000 series. See the reviews here:

Also add the LOVEKEANU coupon
Sorry, $836 with LOVEKEANU code
Windows 10 Home (S mode) 64-bit
That's the bit that sux. $100 for professional or there are other ways I hear…
Is Windows 10 home not so good? Sorry, I'm not good at tech.
Home is good, s mode is not.
"Windows 10 in S mode is a version of Windows 10 that's streamlined for security and performance, while providing a familiar Windows experience. To increase security, it allows only apps from the Microsoft Store, and requires Microsoft Edge for safe browsing. "
Although I have never heard of "Home S mode"
Ah, damn, that does sound very annoying. I was about to purchase. Thanks very much for the help.
@freddo4y: They're missing a very crucial bit of information. In the Microsoft Store is a free upgrade to the standard Windows 10 Home and it's literally a click to changeover.
The real downside of this laptop is only 10/100 Ethernet. No gigabit to be found unfortunately.
@Clear: Oh, thanks Clear. I rarely use Ethernet.
Actually, it seems you can leave S mode for free (a one time change). See the Microsoft page:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/windows-10-in-s-….@freddo4y: Just confirmed with Dell Chat, yes you can switch out of S mode. So this is a great deal
@corremn: Thanks corremm, much appreciated
You could always install a fresh Windows 10 Home or Pro and leave the "Activate Windows" message
See my post above. You can leave S mode easily and for free it appears.
May i ask if i bought from shop back can get 10 % cash back and the 100 dollar challange?
Don't see why not.
Some folks are just worried that the cashback won't be honoured, or that it'll take a few months to get it, I assume that's why OP didn't mention it.Or maybe he simply didn't know.
I didn't know about that. Thanks
Just saw this, and want to know if it is a better option:
https://deals.dell.com/en-us/productdetail/62qy
It's got a 120hz display
Edit: Just noticed the price was in USDFor a second, I thought it was $850 AUD. If that was the case, that would be an insane deal.
However, this is the US store that you're looking at so it is $850 USD.
Ryzen 7 4700U vs i7-1165G7, very hard decision to make.
depends on your use case
if you want to do some light gaming and stuff for example, this will be better. Just check for your usecase online
Looks like a horrid Dell keyboard that is unusable for any serious activity. Not backlit either. :-(
I didn't find any reviews complaining about the new series 3000 keyboard.
I was looking at the other Dell deal which is cheaper but assume the Vostro range is more lower end and is also a bit larger.

This or Dell Vostro https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/584031?
Or anything else in this price range? I couldn't find any on Ozbargain. Thank you.
Hi guys taking into account your expertise…Any cons on this ?
I will probably buy it tomorrow if I don't see any asus (i just like that brand more).
I would use it mainly for office duties - spreadsheets - inside doors and looking to upgrade with another ram stick after purchase and possibly in the future a hdd.TIA!
Did you end up buying it?
The price.
