Repost
This is the best Ozbargain price for this phone, makes this the best value phone 2020, IMO.
Brought the A72 for $250 (128gb) from the previous post office shop deal, locked to optus.
Some thoughts:
- Battery is the best of any phone I had before (5000mAh and SN665). Easily two and half days of light usage, one full day usage. Switch on auto-sleep to save battery.
- Camera is meh on stock. Contrast towards the blue end, low light is mid-tier level. Gcam is better, however buggy but workable. This is for the A72, I assume it won't be better on A52.
- After 4 month of usage, no noticeable general slowdown yet.
- Security updates are steady. Lets hope it gets at least another year. Usual track record of updates on non-flagship second-tier manufactures are not great.
- People thought this was a flagship due to the full screen and somewhat misleading multi-camera setup
- Obligatory NFC and Band 28.
Recommended few friends into buying this as a budget general phone, they all were surprised of the value. Comes with a clear TPU case and screen protector applied.
As I don't game on my phone these days, this phone at under $300 exceeds all my expectations, even crazier value now at under $200. Won't be paying $500 for a Mid-tier-flagship-killer-hype phone no more.
