  • Seems cheap… What's the catch here?

    • Sold by Amazon US and the double kit version is $400+, so just a bargain I hope!

    • Probably just a great bargain. But I need a kit; and have no need for 64gb so I’ll pass…

        • Old mate GN some how managed 10 FPS difference between 2 and 4 stickz

@Lolitsjoel: Almost no difference running 2 and 4 sticks. Difference is running single and dual rank ram.

        • I know there isn't much different when running Intel. I believe there is a difference when running Ryzen. Although I'm not certain on how much difference. I hope my advice didn't stop anyone from purchasing this bargain.

  • Out of curiosity question. Is it better to have 1 -32 gb memory plank, or 2*16 GB of the same speed/latency?

      100% better to use 2 * 16Gb. Well, more like about 5-10%.

      • Thanks, got it. Or may be better to use 2*32 gb in dual channel mode then?

        • Is there any reason you need 64Gb ram?

          • @ATangk: No need really… Just getting my head around computer science. I believe 2*8 gb will suffice for my upcoming build.

            • +2

@Michael1983: 32Gb sticks will be dual rank, so 2 x 32 mean its a total of 4 ranks, which is good for Ryzen.

Anything which isnt ancient 8gb will be single rank. Thats going too deep anyways, just get a good 2 x 8 and you'll be fine.

          • @ATangk: If you want to run a couple of VM's at the same time maybe…

  • Hopefully we'll get some deals on speedy 32gb sticks for black friday
