I've updated now.Thanks
Victorinox Fibrox are the best cheap knives you can get. Yes, it'll come unsharpened (as the silly reviewers state), but this thing will last a lifetime. If I didn't already have some decent Japanese knives, I'd start building a Fibrox set.
If you don't have some whetstones, just find a knife sharpener and they'll generally do 5 knives for $50 or so. Personally, I'd buy this and sharpen it myself.
Hi mate, is that the case for all Fibrox knives? We actually need to get a new knife, was looking at the Victorinox 8 Inch Fibrox Pro Chef's Knife, or maybe even maybe a set. We're not too fussy just want good bang for buck as we're not the best maintenance wise and i thought these Fibrox would fit the bill. But coming already sharpened is important.
Yep, all the Fibrox rate well with professional chefs. They aren't flashy, but the steel is good, it maintains its edge well, and won't rust easily (stainless isn't rust free if you treat it like garbage).
You can probably find somewhere to get them pre-sharpened, but getting it sharpened is pretty easy. Most good key cutters will do it for you, or you can buy one of those foolproof knife sharpening kits (like this one https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/gobrandshop-2019-second-…).
Once you chop, you can't stop
Price is $48.20 and reviews aren't good
