We got some 10c discount tickets a couple of weeks ago, I think if you spend over a certain amount? Coupled with our 4c triple voucher from our Coles car insurance, I've been getting 18c a litre off all up recently.
Did you try that with addnl 2c with $5 in shop purchase? :)
Its $2 inshop purchase to get the extra 2c if i remembered correctly
Yeah, you basically get the $2 item for free, it doesn't really save on the fuel.

Has anyone considered that they have been giving 4c for ages. When fuel used to be a $1 a litre, that would be 4%, but since then the value of the 4c offer has diminished quite a lot…
I use the discounts for LPG, so 4c off on 55c/L LPG is pretty good, 8c off is awesome. I agree that the discounts are completely disproportionate, with diesel users getting the rawest deal.
I remember this one week a few years back that LPG dropped to roughly 35 cents, then minus the 4 cent discount. Those were the days.

Yeah if your with coles car insurance you get a pretty good deal every month and they are pretty cheap so i noticed in today tonight comparng car insurance prices.
The good thing is you can wait till prices drop to use your 8 cents off. I w.a we have fuel watch where we can go online and find out every petrol stations prices for the next day which is handy. I dont know if other states do the same thingCan you share the fuel watch site?
Probably different site to what he was talking about, but I use www.motormouth.com.au it takes surveys of actual prices at pumps around the suburbs, it can't predict when the price will go up but you can get emailed twice a day and get a pretty good idea, once the prices go up early on one or two stations it's sure to go up everywhere else later that day or the next.
WIth Source Mastercard it's another 4c off.
So we get 12c off, but we now put in Unleaded 98 :(
Coles Express stations have now replaced the "4c" off with "8c" off… with prices now showing at 133.9c/L, it's really 141.9c/L :(
Will it drop back to the low of 126.9c/L (after 4c off) as seen on Friday last week? Doubt it… :(
last thursday around Adelaide I was seeing prices as low as $1.27 (at caltexes and BPs without any discount scheme)…hoping they will drop that much again this week :D then plus the 8c voucher means $1.20 petrol again, which is a nice little christmas gift from our favourite arab neighbours.
Most of our imported oil comes from Vietnam, with PNG second. The first Arab country is third in the pecking order.

Australia is a net LPG and LNG exporter. We should be doing everything possible to wean ourselves off imported oil.

It varies. Looks like the cycles have been getting longer and no longer one week. I would wait a few days from the way the curve is heading.
Pretty cheap in Perth today with alot of sites offering petrol @ 132.5 cents and then you can get your discount off that aswell:) Good times
