Coverage is great. Small and sleek looking. No wireless backhaul, but that hasn’t been a problem yet. But the huge letdown is the deco app itself, it’s slow, and it has some serious NAT issues, which means it won’t handle torrenting/FTP. Firmware updates will eventually fix this but there’s a long way to go till it’s up to scratch. Also has only 2 Ethernet ports. so if your looking for an entry level plug and play mesh setup it’s fine, but if your wanting to handle more advanced tasks, I’d look elsewhere. Mines acting as an access point into an older router and it’s not ideal but at least it works.
Bought 2 pack for $251 last week, now on post's hands, looking forward to replacing my current router.
Hi. Can you please tell me how many ethernet out ports are there in each router?
I haven't received it yet, in specifications says 2 ethernet ports.
https://www.tp-link.com/au/home-networking/deco/deco-x20/There is 2 Ethernet ports on each X20 = 6 Ethernet ports. 1 Ethernet port is used by the NBN box or VDSL2 modem = 5 Ethernet ports for your devices.
Are these any good? looking to use in ap mode with telstra fttc
Any feedback on the router itself?
