  • good player. was $200 with 4 blu rays last yr
    good range of internet channels

    • The Sanity deal? It was 5 Blrys + HDMI + This player for $199 in march

  • It was also $99 standalone, no extras

  • +1

The 370 model has been $99 with Sanity in June and the 380 model was $99 at Shopping Express last month http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56013. Surely the 370 should be sub $80 by now?

    It's a Sony. It'll be region locked.

    • Even for DVDs?

I don't know why aussman cut&pasted so much crap, and did not mention the specific benefits of this player - iview.

    • +1

DVD is region free. I have one

Also iView sucks ass. USB only takes FAT32 so no files bigger than 4GB.
Almost all formats play perfectly fine including rmvb, I only ever had a slight problem with a really compressed wmv(90MB) of a 30 min TV show

      • iView works fine for me. Though, I needed to purchase a wifi signal booster (Netgear Universal WiFi Range Extender, 4-port WiFi Adapter - WN2000RPT) which also has 4 ports so I could hardwire the DVD player to it and other devices. Otherwise you have to pay +$75 for a Sony wireless dongle (http://www.amazon.com/Sony-UWABR100AEP-UWA-BR100-Wireless-Ad…). Otherwise, a good player.

        • how much did you get yours for. I am currently using a Asus router on ddwrt firmware to do the job for $30. If the WN2000RPT is cheaper or more stable I'd prefer using that one.

Backup is the officeworks CAT5 cable from router to LAN port ;)

  • spawnpoint (can't seem to reply directly to your post, sorry) - I can't see the deal on OzBargain, but I know I saw it on here. I'm sure I got it from the GoodGuys or Harvey Norman when they had a sale on it (one in Richmond, VIC). From memory it was ~$100.
