Make sure trays are multiple of 3.
What is good about this over others?
Yellowfin Tuna vs. Skip-jack, etc.
just tastes better. and yes even better than the Aldi one ppl keep comparing it to (even if they are the same tuna)
yep. i got the aldi one in the big can, the italian oil one, its shit, so dry, flavourless and chewy
It takes like how I remember tuna tasted in the 90s…just tastes better. Definitely give it a try
The secret is the extra dolphin 🐬
mmm flipper
Tastes the same as the ALDI one. Placebo.
This is the Roll's Royce of canned tuna
Nah that’s Callipo. Canned in Italy instead of Indonesia and Thailand
I prefer Consorcio tuna.
Where do you buy it from?
Upvoting purely for the description
ALDI now do an Italian style chilli in oil that tastes like the Sirena ones. Very good!
Price per square metre?
The last one I got was flavorless, dry and chewy. Maybe I got unlucky but I've never got a dud sirena
Yaaasss thanks OP! I always look forward to Sirena on sale :)
How many can I fit in the boot https://www.google.com/search?q=Sirena&client=firefox-b-d&sx…
Soy n Ginger Putanesca please
This Deal seems fishy to me.
Huh, I just grabbed a half-price John west the other week…but if this is really a tuna of mythical tastes…I must try it. o.o
Once you try this, you'll quickly realise that John West is not the best.
John West is indeed very ordinary now. Used to be really good. My preference these days is either Aldi or Sirena tuna.
I did feel underwhelmed whereas ten years ago I loved the tuna sandwiches I'd make from John west. I thought perhaps my tastes had simply changed. (I've been out of the country a while)
Ethically Sirena is a poor choice . Every other company (except Coles brand I think) has stopped fishing yellow fin as it’s depleting and unsustainable. But look it up and decide for yourself. I gave it up about 5 years ago
They do fish by pole and line though, so less damaging than many other methods
Best Tuna
Usually $1.35 when half price sale but hasn’t occurred since March!
Will have to stock up during this sale
Same. Prices are going up up, generally, for all my favourites.
Can somebody divide $5 by 3 for me? TIA
$1.67 per can ;))
5/3 = 1.666666667
This is great I haven't seen it on half price for a long time
Do we think Sirena also makes Ocean Rise (Aldi)?
The cans and product description are exactly the same.
This deal almost makes up for missing out on a PS5. Almost.
anyone know if it's similar/cheaper at Costco? I seem to recall from an old post Costco have a bulk pack of these that works out to be around $1.5ea?
late response, but this deal is cheaper rn than costco. costco sells a 12pk for $21.xx which works out to be $1.8x per can compared to this deal at $1.66 each at coles.
Sirena Tuna 95g - 3 for $5
Prefer Venus Tuna…
Btw they are charging $4.98 for 3, not $5 - so don't freak out when your 12 tunas costs a weird number of cents.
Got 72 - thanks OP
time to stock up on canned fish i guess.. I want a tray of the onion, a tray of garlic and a tray of triple chili :)
