Very good deal if one of these batteries suits your needs.
On the other hand, unless you want to do a lot of research, it might be hard to find which battery you would actually want, as it doesn't list models.

As a reference, I ordered the battery I linked for an i30 and I'm 95% sure that it will either fit, or I'll be able to make it fit.

Ordered a 520cca 62Ah version on the 13_Nov, just received it from Hunter Express this afternoon, very well packing. CCA tested it , 516cca 99%, 12.61v , very good!

Many thanks OP, the best Christmas gift for my Fiat !

  • Got my yesterday. 12V 620CCA Car Battery 70Ah SLA. Battery was blotted, Took it to SCA to get it charged overnight. Person at SCA said it was seriously dried up as left unused for a long time. Collecting the battery tomorrow and see what happens. Fingers cross.

    • Mine came yesterday, it had the "red circle" showing. But it measured 12.6V, which isn't bad.
Any idea if you can top up the distilled water in these?

      • They are sealed, so no topping up needed or possible.

You should top up the charge, then take to shop for a free CCA test. Hopefully OK.
Seller says they are deep cycle, so discharge should not be a big problem.

SCA said it was seriously dried up

Hopefully not literally dried, with exposed plates!

    • Took it to SCA to charge for 24 hours. Got my battery tested with results:
      Volts 13.32V
      Measured 609A EN
      Rating 170A EN

Guy at SCA say the battery seems to be ok now but not sure if it will last if connected to the car and goes through daily usage. Might start a few times and fail. The battery is still slightly blotted.

Plan to use as a backup battery or connected to a solar panel for camping use.

      • What is "blotted"?

        Rating 170A EN

Was that a typo? 570A? You said 620A CCA rating, and I believe EN is similar?

        • apologies. bloated,
The reading came out of the machine used by SCA. They used the Midtronics MDX-P300

          • @Homia: Like bulging sides? That can't be good. Calcium batteries are not supposed to generate gas like that.

Yesterday i used a 6 Amp 3 Stage Charger to top up my 520cca 62Ah, it took about 5.5 hours to charge fully.
Tonight CCA tested , 535cca, SOH:100% 12.88V resistance: 5.86mΩ. It seems good so i replaced the old battery.

Remember to remove the tiny yellow plug before charge!

      what tiny yellow plug?

      • There are two in the side. For the 62Ah battery at least

    • I only removed one battery vent hole in the negative side and the battery vent hole on the positive side was broken/jammed (couldn't get out) Is that okay?

      • I guess, but can't you twist a screw into it and pull out the soft yellow plug?
Unless you pushed it through, you can destructively remove it.

        • good idea, the battery is already installed. I'll try to put a small screw in and catch the plastic and remove the plug.

If its pushed through, its game over?

          • @nightqueen: I doubt it will do any damage.

            • @bargaino: Thanks manic, managed to get the small yellow plug out with a small screw and pliers.

  • The battery vent hole plug.

Seller sticked a label on the battery positive side , reminded remove the plug before use.

Unpacked mine on the weekend. Health indicator was bright green which was a nice surprise however I was a little surprised at the bigger-than-expected hiss it released when I removed the left-side yellow plug yet no hiss at all when removing the right-side. The ends of my battery were also quite bulgy as others have reported however I just put that down to the cheap/flimsy plastic used. All seems to test out OK (simple non-CCA tests) though so I'm not too bothered.

    • Same thing also happened with my battery with regards to the hissing sound.
Has anyone had any issues with the battery being able to sustain its charge?

    • Are we supposed to remove both? only one was labelled to be removed.

I guess you remove both vent plugs. They are there to protect it during shipping, and reduce fire hazzard.

They are redundant though - whichever one you remove first will let the gas out.

    My Battery still hasn't arrived

  • I'm also considering downvoting this deal!
Said it shipped two weeks ago, but nothing. Tracking number doesn't bring up any details.

    • Contact MyDeal.
They were terrible for me too, but the product is good.

  • One month later, battery arrives. There was no tracking until it arrived at the delivery depot the day before.

Battery is 12.6V, so fully charged. Will get it tested.

  • I never received anything and got refunded.
