The PS5 thread about stock being available this morning from different retailers went from 5 pages before 9AM to 18 at last count. It appears many were able to get one, but many were not. A few of the retailers websites even went down and people were not able to order when they have been waiting for a long time, while some lucky people who didn't even want one, got one.
It even made a news.com.au article.
I'm interested to know from those who wanted to get a PS5 and were waiting for these drops if you managed to get one, or if you didn't despite waiting and being ready. I left a poll option for those who are not interested in getting a PS5 at the moment also.
Merged from PS5 Release Day Price Table - No, the prices didn't come down all that much.
Well everyone, it's here! Launch day for the PS5! Attached is the table I've been uploading many times to make sure everyone had the most up-to-date view of prices. I hope this is a pretty comprehensive guide to where to buy, and where to price match for the PS5 launch. I hope this has been helpful to everyone.
The most recent of the 23 posts I made can be found here.
I'll admit, I was surprised the prices didn't come down more. Saying that - it's still a pretty scarce product right now. I'd be surprised if in the months and years to come prices don't come down a bit from where they're currently at :)
Anyway, my PS5 sounds like it's done downloading, so I'm disappearing for the day ;)
Enjoy, everyone!
A note regarding these tables after PS5 release: I just wanted to thank everyone for your support building this table up in the run-up to the release. After November 12th I'll no longer be updating this table. I don't see a need (or don't see me having the time) to keep track of every release across all retailers post-launch. Besides, I'm sure there's websites out there that will do much better than me! On Launch day I'll post this table in the forums, and that will be that.
For the full list of PS5 upgrade games check out my previous deal.
Also, don't forget the pre-order price guarantee. If the price drops between order and release, you'll pay the lowest price. Also no deposit required for pre-order = pretty good. If you decide you don't want it from Amazon eventually, you can just cancel whenever.
Also, fun note. It seems the cost of the headset briefly dropped to $156.78, so those with that preordered will have a slightly cheaper amount now. Also, the DualSense 5 dropped to $105.72, so that will also be cheaper if you've pre-ordered.
Some important notes from @blah-blah regarding buying from OzGameShop.
$79$124Destruction AllStars$109$124.95$124Not Found$114.99$99$44.95$129$99$59$94$89$124$89.95$89$109$79$99*Destruction All Stars has been moved back to February 2021, and will be free for two months for Playstation Plus subscribers. You're still welcome to buy it, I guess, but you should buy with this in mind.
*Launch shipment presold out - prices included for comparison or if you don't mind a delayed shipment
Note on accessories: It seems the 3D Headset and charging station has been delayed in Australia until early December, this is almost a month after release.
Note on the table's inclusion: I've had negative comments about including the whole table in the past, but I've since had more positive community feedback asking for the whole table to stay. So I'll continue with that as new deal come up.
Note on contributors: I also wanted to note that though I've expanded the table significantly, the original design was made by @axeology - they definitely deserve huge credit for where it's up to today.
Note on other retailers: Though I haven't added them to the table, there are some other retailers that are likely worth checking out with PS5 game and accessories pre-orders up:
Note on the retailers in this table: Though I hope this is a comprehensive list of what's available, I don't have any bots keeping an eye on this stuff. So it's entirely possible I've missed a game or a price has updated. If you want to check it out yourself, the links are as follows:
