Seems like a pretty good deal after already been discounted from $1999 to $1499.

As another owner of one, I don't find it to be an issue, but I can certainly see how it would be for some.
It's bigger and heavier, I'd certainly recommend trying one first as well.I guess my main point is that differences between the ultra and plus are rather negligible in real world usage (i'm never going to use the 100x zoom), and having put my friends + in my hand I would be much happier with it.
As a previous owner of S20+, my recommendation is to get neither and get either S20 FE or Snapdragon version of Note 20 Ultra.
as the owner of s7, why don't you just get me one and i will be forever grateful whether its + or ultra
i've had mine since about Feb this year.
Yes, it's a HUGE unit. Esp once you start putting a cover on it etc.
But for me, the tradeoff is worth it. amazing screen real estate, relatively snappy (although probably not as good as its snapdragon counterpart), and generally all round great product.
The only thing i will say is that the camera is a mixed bag. Focusing issues are REAL, but it does deliver some pretty amazing shots.
I would recommend it for something with big hands.
As an owner of an S20 Ultra let me also tell you that you should probably not get this phone….I would honestly go for the s20 fe (5G).
The exynos vs SD is a big difference on 5g models.
I upgraded from an S8+ which has 3 years old and didnt feel any really imporvement in battery life (I have 5G off, dark mode, most apps go to sleep, ect ect)Have to disagree. Avoid the FE until the touch screen issues are sorted.
As an FE owner, I concur. Ghost touches are an issue.
I was not aware of this
It's a shame, good phone otherwise. Seems to affect all units, and is seeming more and more likely that it's a hardware fault.
I'm sure they'll fix it eventually and it'll make a good choice then.
As another owner of the S20 Ultra I'd recommend going with something else.. The camera still has serious focus issues and I am envious of my friends Pixel which takes amazing photos with relative ease.
As i real user, i would not recommend this phone. Find X2 is much better at camera and Pixel/FE is much cheaper with better processors.
As a non user and I have never even seen the phone.
I say get one, a red one. Bigger is better and you are all just jealous of my awesome big red phone.
Edit. Oh and covers are for girlymen.
Bought the 512gb model at launch. The phone as a whole is snappy, future proof, and fun to use. Except the camera, which is absolute dogs**t. For me that's a huge caveat, so I regret buying it. For someone who doesn't value the camera as much, it's a good buy.
I bought this for $2000 - just for the experience. I suggest you don't worry about the latest phone, it doesn't change your life at all.
As someone who doesn’t have an S20 I take your feedback on board.
I used to think the explosion va snapdeagon was a non issue (only if you care about raw numbers).
But just got a second hand fold (1st gen) and yeah there's a big difference. Everything is smoother.
And for that price, I'd get the fold (same price). Yes you get less camera, but gosh i can't go back to normal phones.
Everyone is saying fold2 is the one to get.
Got mine for 900.
Couldn't justify even paying for the fold2 over 36 months. But yes hardware wise the fold2 is more mature.
Just got one of these and have to say have been disappointed with the bugs. When I heard through a friend that his mate had issues, I dismissed it as just a unique problem. But using it myself, it's not good. A quick search on Google will share the pain. It's a shame, this thing is not new so would expect they would fix the issues by now. Must be hardware related. I would suggest you skip this and am sure the S21 will have the kinks ironed out.
As an owner of an S20 Ultra, let me be the one to say you should get the S20+ instead. Honestly, the size and weight of this thing compared to the + make me regret my purchase regularly. Go and put one in your hand and be sure you're happy with it before purchasing.
