    Umm when I get to the final page
    there's not Activation code, just a link to
    "Download full version (expire after 30 days)"

    So they're giving you a 30day demo for free - that's crap.

      You might have missed the note on the final page:

      Note: The "Activation code" column is left blank if the product you purchased does not require an activation code.
