Seems to be a good price for the new chromecast with google tv.
Edit: As mentioned by Kirt, you can get it cheaper ($88.11) at JB Hi-fi using the code 92HNJT3Y24C52N

Quite a bit of a price difference? would expect it to be better.
What's the major benefit?
Shield TV Pro is also almost 4 times the price.
$1 cheaper at JB with code 92HNJT3Y24C52N.
working. thanks
Posted a comment on the last deal, this vs fire stick lite? Is the only key difference 4k?
Do they have a discount with the Netflix bundle? When you already have Netflix the Netflix credit for 6 months of standard is $95.94 brings the price down to around $50aud assuming you pay the full $139.99 for the bundle.
im considering returning it so i can get this and keep the 6 months lol

5% cashback through Shopback puts this cheaper than the JB deal.
How much is your personal data worth to you? 5%.
This thing is full of ads.
Returned mine.
There's ways around that….
Yeah, right. But I couldn't fix the crappy 144p casting quality for the pixel. Samsung smart view app is far better for casting than this Chromecast. Is this normal?
I'm not aware of casting issue specifically.. From what I've been able to gather on web device is well regarded and quite powerful, can even emulate PS1 and Dreamcast games on it which adds to over all story. It'll spend most of its life steaming Kodi and YouTube for me.
Was not aware this has ads. Do you mean when you cast Youtube, or there are ads in the actual user interface?
User interface even if you haven't installed those apps.

Might use cashrewards on this one, haven't used the $5 bonus cashback from today yet.
Thanks OP.
Bought one and set it up, nice little device.
Only gripe so far is that it doesn't find my 5ghz wifi (only the 2.4ghz).
Anyone else have this issue?
I noticed Clear made a comment on another post about this issue. Seems to be a known one.
Seems to be a recent issue. People online have reported that changing your 5GHz network to use Channel 40 in your router has resolved the issue.
Issue is only a couple of weeks old so I'd be expecting an update soon.
Oh awesome, I'll try that out, thanks!
Just did it now and it worked! Thanks again :)
You're welcome. I just received mine earlier this week. Fairly impressed!
Recommend the shield TV pro . Don't buy a lemon…
