  • When do you expect stocks for these new cards (including RTX 3080) will stabilize?

    • +4

Can only find out after the AMD release on 18th November 2020. The gigabyte 3070 is still in stock everywhere and never really out of stock. I also notice shipping express have 3080 in stock but they jack the price up to above $1700 which is disgusting. So i suspect that retailer actually have 3080 in stock but just don’t wanna sell them at RRP. Hopefully situation change after the AMD. no one should buy anything that is above RRP, this is the only way to stop these greedy retailers ripping people off!

    • My guess, Febuary-March.

This is actually still overpriced for this card. Galax is low-end.

  • All the partner gpu cards seem to be overpriced and FE not in sight. Any idea when rtx 3070 FE will be available for general public?

  • I think I am going to have to pass on this. I'm drawing the line at $850. Not willing to spend anymore than that (I can wait).

Also, that's a long a$$ card by the looks of it. And while it would fit my main full tower case no problems, it would annoy me that I wouldn't be able to throw it into any other smaller cases/builds in coming years.

  • how are galax anyways? thermal and noise

They're a cheap card. Cheap as in it's designed to be sold as cheap as possible. It's never the best at anything, and from what I understand it's restricted to the asia pacific region/south america where cheaper quality cards are deemed acceptable, but not for EU/North America. it is good that it has 3 fans rather than 2, but still don't know how good the heat fins, the heatpipe or how well the fans work. It's assumed it can't work as well as the more premium model where more money is spent.

I think they do have a white premium galax version of various chipsets, but they are priced the same as premium models

where's your reviews and sources? your opinion has 0 fact behind it.

        • How do you think they're cheaper, when they all have tiny profit margins other than some companies spend less on their cards, and so can sell their cards at a lower price, and then if galax can make their cards cheaper but without negatives, no other company knows about it, but prefer to spend money on more expensive hardware.
Watch this video release today about how various companies get their Nvidia video cards as low as they can and the negatives

          • @bobvegas: Reviews actually show good thermals and noise performance and most people who own them have no issues with them; I've lost count of the number of posts of people complaining about noisy Gigabyte 2xxx cards. By your logic the most expensive card must be the best card, which is not necessarily true.

    • some review says ~65C @ full load. Similar to other cards. Thats probably the best what air cooling can do.
you won't see huge performance difference these days. Some may run 50Mhz higher but you won't feel it in game
the only differences are 2yr warranty and how long the RMA takes

  • Do they actually have it in stock? Or pay now and wait months?

  • Got one? For dads flight sim build. Yay?

  • Jumped on to have a look and still priced at $995 it seems.

      • Thanks, price shows up correctly in the cart although getting a stock error now haha:

"Sorry, we don't have enough 'Galax GeForce RTX 3070 SG (1-Click OC) 8GB GDDR6 RGB LED Graphics Card (37NSL6MD1GNA)' in stock to fulfill your order."

        • Probably for the best mate :) Id wait if it was mine but dads getting impatient :)

    • I"m not interested in it, but it was priced at it's reduced when I checked 30 seconds before

  • Says 995 for me

  • Tried adding to cart it's sold out

  • +3

Maybe only 1 in stock and sold out
