  • Sumatra is a lovely blend. Ordered.

    • Thanks rickb - it's on the way!

  • Question - would this blend work well for a cold drip?

    • Hey Falcman - will be super for a cold drip - lighter roast with great flavours and the cold drip will deal with acidity.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Best coffee I’ve ever had. Ordered

    • ….and our mission is complete….
      Thank you so so much.
      It's on the way!!

Guys, this is THE coffee to get.

Thanks Dan, ordered 2x 1kg, cheers!

Really do appreciate your sharing the love!!

  • Grabbed some, normally I'm pretty happy with Aldi beans but my last couple batches have been a little dissapointing so figured I'd try spend fancier ones for a change.

    • +2

You'll never go back to Aldi coffee again.

      • this is true

    • Really appreciate the opportunity ashoz85.
Keen to hear your feedback when you have tried them.

      Thanks
      Dan

    • I thought I was happy with Aldi beans before discovering this. Indeed you won't go back.

    • How much is aldi coffee?

      • From memory about $12-13 per kg for whole beans.

  • Any specials on a dark roast. I'm not one for smelling and tasting fruity flavours and aromas in my coffee.

    • Hi Adam, I bought the twilight blend having the same thoughts as you and its great. Its not a dark roast but has a very traditional taste with a good hit of caffeine, I noticed if you subscribe upon purchase on Dans website he offers a 20% reduction. Best coffee give it a try!!

    • Hey adan149 - keep an eye on our website/emails for occasional specials or generic discount codes.
Not normally as good as the specials here but cheaper none the less.

Or, as Mitch says, give this one a go :)

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Thanks for making it a deal again! Purchased!

    • Awesome akte - thank you.

Given these reviews, I've pulled the trigger. Better suited for filter or espresso?

    • -1

Super grateful for all the positive feedback - it helps you and it helps us!!

      Thakns so much thrillho.

Now looking forward to YOUR feedback :)

      Cheers
      Dan

      • Are these beans better suited for not espresso?

        • Ordered. I'll find out, I guess!

  • Good reviews!

    Ordered!

  • Got one thanks!

  • Thanks BMW - You're the best!

  • Roasted today? I'm in. I still have some left from my pegasus 1kg, so ordered 500g this time round to try Sumatra. Amazing coffee.

    • Great stuff asdf!! - Thank you

  • Thank you. Grabbed one to taste-test it after reading the scrumptious description and see if this is on par or better than your Enterprise blend. 🤞

    • Thanks so much pacificstorm - super keen to here your thoughts on the comparison. Please let us know.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • Do you guys put these in freezer or just in pantry? I am not sure when they are roasted so I don't know what I should do if I purchase 2kg to consume over a month

    • +1

In the pantry. My last batch of beans was held up by 2 weeks due to congestion in the Australia Post network. The beans were 4 weeks old by the time that the last few cups were made but the coffee tasted just fine to me.

    • +1

Pantry, they're in a very dark and cool spot. They keep their flavour

      • +1

        Thanks! Will do the same

    • Hey lyoo01 - as rickb mentioned - pantry is always good if its cool.
Incidentally, we always roast same day as our OzBargain deals - can't get it fresher!!

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan

Man, you guys are making me go through some coffee!! The garden is loving the used grounds though ;)

Hopefully the Saratgoa comes on special soon

    John

    • Haha - thank John - our sinister plan of mass addiction to the good beans appears to be on track :)

  • Just in time - I am about to run out from the last deal :)

    • We were waiting until you were ready for us whaleman :)

      Thanks heaps.
      Dan

  • Was about to pickup a subscription. Giving this a go first :)

    • Good thinking freestyle16 - looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these.

      Thanks so much.
      Dan

  • Bought a batch from the last time a deal was posted. I was pretty disappointed with it honestly. No matter what I tried, I could not get any crema from my expresso machine. Tried a more coarse/finer grind, heavy tamp, light tamp etc., but was still left with black water. Anything else I should try before giving up?

    • Hey mimik13 - definitely something amiss there - You should be getting the best crema you've ever seen from these!
Lets get a convo going via DM and see what we can do for you. We will sort it I'm sure.
DM me here or email me directly [email protected] and we will help.

      Cheers

  • $33 for express posted, fresh roasted beans today. Impressive price and keen to give a go.

For anyone who has similar equipment, I have the Breville Smart Grinder Pro paired with a Breville Duo-Temp Pro - recommended grind settings?

I do 48 Grind and 5 seconds for aeropress

18 and 8.6 secs for espresso (don't have your coffee machine)

      About 36 for Percolator

    • +1

I have this, I usually do 18 seconds (usually around 20-21g of coffee) and between 14-12 grind.
Usually I adjust this based on flow rates.
I aim for double (40g) shot in 28-30 seconds.
Usually get the g right and adjust the grind to adjust the flow.
Breville dual boiler is just fantastic

      • Thanks Kah really useful!

  • Fantastic tasting coffee. Only issue is it took 4 weeks to arrive, last time I ordered.

    • Hey seligs - thanks so much for your compliment - sorry to hear of that delay.
It looks like AusPost have really picked up on shipping times now compared to the last couple of months.
Hopefully no dramas for you this time.

Again, I appreciate your feedback and heads up.

      Sincerely
      Dan

  • Ah, you're killing me, these are the beans I've been hanging out to try. Ordered, I'm going to have to reduce my stash, looks like you're my new supplier. Thank you.

    • Killing you with kindness we hope ynot :)

Thanks so much for your order and support.
      Super appreciative.

      Cheers

  • Will give you guys a shot @30 per/kg. Purchased. Thx
Although at $50 per/kg you're at the $$$$ end of town.

Tempted to go green bean at $16 per/kg here in Sydney then roast my own in small batches. Seen them roast in wok in Kenya, so cant be that difficult.

      • Can you tell me if it's good for espresso also?

  • Any way to place order now and have it shipped next week?

    • Unfortunately not mith - it's a kind of grab it while it's hot kinda thing. Apologies.

  • Ordered thanks ops

    • Thanks so much Hearthstone :)

  • Hey OP - on the product page is an image of an extraction from a naked portafilter. Can you confirm the image source? Thanks.

    • Hey OzDJ - thanks for your help.

      • Hey OzDJ - thanks for your help.

What help? I was (am) asking where the image of the naked portafilter extraction came from.

  • Is this good with Aero press? Ordered one already but keen to hear anyone else's experience. Thanks and apologies if this has already been asked

    • Hey Dr S - we have had good direct feedback for this one in an AeroPress - hopefully some others can help you out here also.

      Thanks for your purchase.

      Cheers
      Dan

Cheers, Dan. That was quick :)

  • Thanks so much 2 Kees ordered!

  • Thanks heaps DonBoss!!

    • Hiya Dan, just ordered and thanks (again) for this great special on the best beans in town!
Is it possible to lock this price in as some others do by paying for twelve months in advance and supplying 1 x 1kg of Sumatra beans each month?
It would provide both customer and supplier some certainty going forward.

Cheers….and keep up the great work!

    • Hey Paklog thanks so much for your order.
We do indeed have a subscription offer where you get 20% every order - including free shipping.
Cant quite get it at this special rate unfortunately so it's good to grab it when you can.
You can pause/change/cancel subscriptions anytime so you could hook into that and if you see a better special here or on the site, skip your next sub order etc.

Hope that helps and thanks again for your orders.

      Cheers
      Dan

  • already marked as shipped. woop

  • Love trying new Beans - will give this a whirl - Just ordered

    • Great to hear DIGC - thanks so much.

  • Thanks OP ordered 2kg

    • Great stuff Albtal - getting them ready right now!!

  • My parents typically make Greek-ish coffee: couple spoons directly into small cup, add hot water, stir, let sit, maybe add some cream. Grinds then sink to bottom.

What is this process called? What is the best grind type for this?

    • +1

Hey StickMan - Usually a Turkish Grind for that method. Finest grind we do.
We can do that for you no problem - just stick a note in the order and will sort it for you.

      Hope that helps.

      Cheers
      Dan
