This deal is a little complicated to achieve, but I think it is worth it.
If you are not set to Nintendo eShop (United States region) already.
1) Login to Nintendo eShop and use up all remaining credits.
a) Make sure you have zero "Available Funds" in you account. (Otherwise you cannot leave the Nintendo eShop (Australia region))
b) Use the remaining "Available Gold Points" prior to leaving. (Otherwise you will forfeit the remaining coins on leaving Nintendo eShop (Australia region))
2) To change from Nintendo eShop (Australia region) to Nintendo eShop (United States region):
a) https://accounts.nintendo.com/ via the web browser.
b) "Change" Profile "Country/region" from Australia to United States". (select any time zone should be fine)
c) If it is your first time to join the Nintendo eShop (United States region), it will ask for a credit card and will charge USD$1.00 to activate account. (any credit card should work as long as it can process international transactions)
3) Now you are ready to start purchases, but you can only purchase digital games using a US issued credit card or a "Nintendo eShop Card - 20 USD"
a) If you have a US issued credit card:
-> Good for you, you can purchase the digital games by using the US issued credit card via the "Nintendo Switch eShop".
b) If you don't have a US issued credit card:
-> You must purchase a "Nintendo eShop Card - 20 USD" via ebay preferrable. (NOT Via MMOGA.com, because it will ask for a picture of you and your ID for verification)
-> Add Funds by "Nintendo eShop Card" using the "Nintendo eShop Prepaid Code". It is a 16 character key.
4) Now here comes the most difficult part. You must use up "Available Funds". otherwise you cannot leave the US store.
a) Think carefully how you could spend USD20 exactly from the store and purchase items. Remember you get 5% cash rewards in "Gold Points". That bonus may help you leave the store via smart purchasing of other on sale games. (use this site to help guide your calculations https://www.nintendo.com/games/game-guide/ )
b.1) game 1 = USD14.99
b.2) game 2 = USD 0.99
b.3) game 3 = USD 0.99
b.4) game 4 = USD 0.99
b.5) game 5 = USD 0.99
b.6) game 6 = USD 0.77
b.7) game 7 = USD 0.24
b.8) game 8 = USD 0.04
b.total 8 games for USD20 exactly.
5) You may now leave the US store and return to Australia store. (remember to use up the remainder Gold Points prior to leaving, otherwise you will forfeit the Gold points from US store.)
6) The game will show up even when you return to Australia store. (Even if the game doesn't exist in the Australian Store.)
Enjoy, but beware not to incorrectly calculate the purchase amounts, otherwise you will be stuck in the US store….
