    Don't feel silly. Doom Eternal is crap. Lots of platforming and acrobatics. Doesn't feel like Doom at all.
    I got it for free and still feel ripped off!

      Yeah, I got up to this section where I have to jump off a cliff onto a moving elevator, and then jump off the elevator onto another cliff and then kill some boss enemy. I tried about 200 times, and only successfully completed the jump about 3 times. Extremely frustrating.

        The trick is to utilise air control and chrono strike runes for the harder platformer sections.

        Once I learnt that generally the platform sections that are needed to progress the game are very achievable.

        Even with those there are some hidden sections or item locations that were too challenging though.

      I agree with this. Doom 2016 was much more enjoyable as a game.

      I played through once with Doom Eternal, and never looked at it again, but occasionally I'll fire up Doom 2016 when I just want to blow things up.
