Very nice looking phone in person but missing the second screen here unfortunately
I'm an lg user and happy but the only reason to go with them is audio. Cameras need good software. Operating systems need updates. LG sucks at software.
Agreed. I don't find anything appealing about the Velvet for those reasons. It's just a bit of a 'meh' phone and there's other options for similar money that do a better job.

Unreliable software updates take away any benefit offered by their reasonable hardware, likes of Xiaomi offer a better support to even cheaper devices.
I agree about the unreliable software, but it's still miles better than Xiaomi, where the entire OS is malware. They don't even deserve to be in the same sentence. Xiaomi are only good if going custom ROM.

I believe this is a good deal. The phone has Active Stylus compatibility which no other phone has. This makes it a genuine alternative to Samsung Note or Note Lite lineup (albeit cheaper and less powerful) with 5G.
Account for Stylus cost to get the full functionality.
LG's marketing is quite poor to showcase all of the features.
