I'll be lining up, for sure.
No need to line up, they're available all the time.
The pods are, the machines may not be
Just noticed the Aldi Expressi! Thanks dude.
Will buy one to give a try.
P.S. Thanks for the Nespresso promotion, otherwise I don't know about Expressi! lol
Nah… They are running similar cashback promotions every now and then, at least once a year. Sometimes even $75 off.
However would love to hear from someone about the ALDI ones - how is the taste? Very competitive price for both, the machine and the capsules…
If you can be bothered, the machine is listed on amazon.de. There's about 45 reviews across 3 listings (you just need to do a translation!):
http://www.amazon.de/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?__mk_de_DE=%C5M%C5Z%D5…
On a basic level it gets average 4-star reviews. By comparison, nespresso machines get close to 5-star reviews. So dollar-for-dollar, the Aldi version is probably better value. On amazon.de the machine is about 100€. The Nespresso Pixie is about 130€.
more importantly, the Aldi capsules work out to about 37cents each. The cheapest nespresso caps are 68 cents each.

Does anyone know if the capsules for the K-Fee machines (Aldi) are interchangeable/compatible with the Nespresso ones?
Maybe looking forward for a Espressi or Nespresso jail break. lol
Oh wait, I was joking before but I find something interesting from google….
http://www.nexpod.com/
They're not compatible.
I still have the cheque in my wallet from when I bought one of these a while back in their last cashback promotion. I really need to get to my bank sometime. I also have the $7 cheque from NRMA from when I moved house and my contents insurance got cheaper…
lol
if i buy from http://www.aus-appliances.com.au/delonghi-en125lplus-pixie-n…,
will i still get the $50 cashback?
does anyone know if amex $50 cashback is still available?
I bought a Nespresso Lattisma+ from Myer Chadstone the other day because they had 20% off and were advertising the cash back promotion as well. The sign clearly stated $379 after 20% discount and $100 cash back (from original price of $599), however in the fine print of the cash back form it says not valid in conjunction with any other promotion.
I have contacted nespresso and they confirmed they will not honor the cash back, still waiting to hear back from Myers as to my request for them to honor the advertised $100 cash back themselves as it was breaking at least 3 Australian consumer laws. Will let you know how it goes.
I bought a Nespresso Pixi from Myer Macquarie this afternoon. They matched DJ's 20% off on full price small electrical appliances. So the price I paid at Myer was $319.20. The staff from Myer said I should be able to redeem the $50.00 cash-back as it is from Nespresso. (20% off is from Myer not Nespresso) Then I got $20.00 gift card from "Spend $200 a day and receive a $20 Macquarie Centre Gift Card" promotion.
They are scared of the Aldi Expressi that's coming.
