Only makes up for the recently hiked price

I jumped over to superloop during the 6 weeks free for Victorians and have since had 3 people use my referral code, currently getting 100/20 for ~$60/month for the next 6 months

    • how is the superloop experience ?

      • It has been food. I'm on HFC it took an hour or so before the change churn initiated, internet was down for about 15mins..

Haven't had to speak to them for anything, so I guess the experience is good!

I wouldn't just say food, rather super food.

The discount code is quite fitting considering they're SPOOKing customers away with their price hikes.

Yeah this offer does kinda rub salt into the wounds for existing customers. Seems ABB are only concerned about attracting new customers.

I recently signed up with them a few months ago for my FTTP connection and they've been bloody awesome to deal with. Compared to TPG… shudder

If you ask nicely for a free first month, you might get one :-) I was offered my first month free without even asking, but if you're signing up with them, see how you go and if nothing is offered as you get to the meaty end of the sales chat (on the phone) see if they can throw you a bone.

  • If I'm already on ABB, can i cancel it and have someone else from my house to sign up to get the discount?

    • +1

i assume it's linked to the house

      • Must suck if you just moved in and the previous people were on ABB.

        • +1

This happened to us, we just had to prove we were new tenants by sending a copy of the lease.

jumped to superloop, the moment i click submit on application my internet dropped.
rebooted hfc router and literllay minutes later i was on superloop

ABB charged for what i used, no overlap

the entire process was pretty seemless, did not have to talk to anyone

      That's terrible.

    • Same for me (HFC). Signed up with Superloop and it was almost instant. Internet went down immediately but took about 5 minutes to come back.

  • The free month is better deal at ABB at the moment for new users

The best deal ever is the IPO.

  • Customer support with ABB is awesome.

Have now been with them for about 8 months. Was planning on moving back to Superloop but then started getting dropouts recently. Contacted ABB. They were onto it straight away. First call, spent 1 hour after hours on the phone with a tech support guy who went through all the tests with me to try and fix the issue. He walked me through everything and listened to everything I had to say. Was the nicest experience I have ever had with any customer support. Unfortunately he could not fix the issue but a few days later they arranged for an NBN tech to come out. Service is now greatly improved (not sure if it fixed yet) and since then ABB have called me twice to check how it is going. Can't get any better service than that.

I'm now having second thoughts about switching to Superloop. When I was with Superloop previously I rang them and was on hold for something like 4 hours trying to speak to someone. And then it took a few days for them to do something about the issue.
