Not sure which other state & territories ALDI have liquor licenses with so this might be a bit useless for some but where I am in the act, I noticed a few name brand spirits for only $29 (700ml), even at Dan murphys jack daniels is still $36.95!
Pretty sure it's an everyday price because it's been $29 for the last 2 weeks
They will…Soon. I heard they are training NSW staff for RSA certificate so ALdi is planning to get a NSW liquor licence in the future.
ACT Aldi have a liquor licence and hence all ACT shops stock alcohol

I noticed they do branded pre-mixed cans (Bundy, JD, etc) too for a lot cheaper forcing Dan/1st Choice to drop their prices a lot.
Come to SA, ALDI! We need you over here. On a recent trip to Victoria I stopped at an ALDI store and was pleasantly surprised by both the prices and quality of some goods on offer. Would definately shop there for everyday necessities. Seeing alcohol on sale inside the supermarket was a pleasant surprise too. It's a common sight in many overseas countries yet we have a huge hang up about it here.

Nope, only those staff that are over 18 and only those working in aisles that can sell alcohol. In our local coles, if there is any alcohol in your trolley, you must go to an aisle that is allowed to sell alcohol.
Licensing laws vary state to state my friend.

I noticed Southern Comfort for $29 at Aldi Carrum (VIC) but I don't think thats a particularly fantastic price for SC. Wish they had some JD there!
Shame that ALDI NSW still doesn't have a liquor license. Used to buy all my cooking wine and some of my drinking wine from them in the ACT.
In fact, that was one of my first surprises when I moved to NSW. Kept walking around the store and I couldn't find the alcohol. LOL.

I tend to notice more expensive alcohol producing more drunk people out on Saturday night streets. As the pub price goes up more people are 'pre-loading' at home. I've seen wine casks being handed around the back seat of cars on the way to the CBD. People will always find a way to get hammered regardless of price.
I'm in NSW so can't get this deal anyway, but is it Jim Beam White or Black? Because in dan's latest brochure it has white for $29 and black for $36

I saw jim beam white for $24 at DM the other day. i think price fluctuates between stores competition because quite often i see things cheaper than catalogue prices.

Yeah its worth a try… I got a case of 5 seeds price mached for $37.5 instead of $44 but when I asked for it price matched (without any proof of the competitors price) at the counter, the girl called the manager and he punched in his authorization code to which the girl then asked 'how much is it at 1st choice?' I said $38 so she made it $37.5..
nice, was gonna buy some 5 seeds, hopefully they don't ask for proof when I go either

Here in NSW ALDI don't sell liquor. :(
