Deal Posting Guidelines: Free Multimedia & Content:

There are so many useful free multimedia content (e.g. ebooks, videos, photos, software, apps etc.) and websites out there that if we listed every great one, then we would be inundated with deals. Feel free to discuss any of these in one of our forums. Alternatively, add the freeware to its dedicated free software wiki page – Useful Free Software.

In general, multimedia content that are always free and available to everyone should be posted in the forums, but if something that was not previously free is offered free temporarily or permanently, it qualifies as a deal. In some cases, decisions on whether a post should stay as a deal or be moved to a forum post is at moderators discretion.

I'm emailing Sony letting them know that rather than upgrading my PS4 I'm upgrading my XBox. I'm not surprised about the ignorant comments by some here who clearly have not done any research about the ideology of this organisation.

    • +7

Xbox and many other gaming companies support BLM. Guess you'll have to play something not made in this century.

      https://www.gamesradar.com/sony-microsoft-activision-and-man…

      • +5

Most don't support it, they just act like they do to prevent being boycott.

        • +8

Wow really? I'm glad there is a truth seeker out there like you that has infiltrated these companies and found that out.

        • I always believe Gamergate is the very first pushback and first shot fired back in the culture war

      • +1

What about Nintendo? Is there a company that is in the business of making consoles & games and hasn't subscribed to socialist far left ideology?

        • Why don't you just click the link in the comment and find out?

          • @Gehirn: Two reasons. I didn't realise there was info about Nintendo in there and I read your sarcastic comment towards nurries.

    • +3

I also emailed Coon cheese telling them I'll stop buying their products if they rename.

I'm not a racist, just glad there's so much rationale here on Ozbargain. This BLM movement is one step away from B fascism.

      • The overseas owners of Coon cheese also I wn several other products, such as King Island Dairy and Mersey Valley. Ive started buying Mainland Cheese, which is owned by a NZ company that has been a victim of activism.

        • +1

mainland cheese - company appeared sixth on RepRisk's top ten "Most Controversial Companies of 2013". Companies on the list were severely criticised during 2013 by the world's media, governments and NGOs. Criticisms of Fonterra included contaminated milk products, anti-competitive activities, and pollution in New Zealand - that one?

people's complaints were maybe justified heh?

          • +1

@petry: Who knows? What happened since 2013? Did they pick up their act? Who decides on whether they are controversial? Is it some far left crazy group without credibility or not? You have to check these days to see if they have an agenda. I guess there would be issues with just about every company. Are they woke? Do they pollute? Something else?

Everyone just has to chose whether they avoid things from certain companies or countries based on their own beliefs and standards. I'm not a big fan of activist groups trying to ruin companies or get them to make a statement supporting their cause out of fear of losing business.

Anyway I like the taste of Mainland, much nicer than Bega.

            • +1

@heal: thought bega sued mainland as well… bloody activist bega

    • +1

good to know there will be more ps5's around…

      • How many are you going to buy?

        • +1

thought you'd already pre-sold all your's on gumtree

          • @petry: You obviously didn't read my comment.

            • +1

              @heal: this one ?

'I'm emailing Sony letting them know that rather than upgrading my PS4 I'm upgrading my XBox. I'm not surprised about the ignorant comments by some here who clearly have not done any research about the ideology of this organisation.this one'

doesn't say no pre-orders in does it?

              • @petry:

doesn't say no pre-orders in does it?

So your assuming I've done several pre-orders and are selling them all on gumtree. Very presumptuous and incorrect.

How many are you going to buy now that you've taken personal offence to me deciding not to get one?

                • +1

@heal: mate your like to make inferences and sledge people as a matter of course , so what you going on about now?

Are you so upset that bega sued mainland and are in your terms 'activists' because you prefer new zealand cheese not australian?

  • +2

Can we disagree and still be friends?

    • +4

most rational people yes, but the personal insults some puts out there makes it more difficult. I would actually still saying everything I'm saying in person, I doubt some of the insults will be said in person.

I think the rule is if you won't do it in person, don't do it behind a keyboard

      • Sounds good. Where and when will you be standing on a soap box talking about how "people are so intolerant of racists these days!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭"?

        • +3

You don't know these people, why do you say they are racists? If they are not white are they still racists? (that whole racism is prejudice + power)

  • +7

    Hi pol

  • +13

Thank god 🙏 ozbargain is not full of stupid sjws makes me love this community even more.

    • +12

No stupid SJWs, just stupid racists :)

    • -2

      (profanity) off

    • +9

Unfortunarely, there are enough SJWs that their whinging got legitimate firearm deals banned. Hence, I don't contribute deals to the community anymore.

      • They are quite happy for vegan activists to troll meat deals. Can't mention China and covid in a negative way without being censored. Attacking some religions is fair game. Welcome to the tolerant Australia of 2020.

  • +21

    More like Burn Loot Murder…

    • Good one

  • +16

Slacktavist: For those that feel like they are contributing to a good cause by wearing a BLM t-shirt, or re-posting a photo they saw on Facebook.

And please spare a thought for those with coloured skin who choose to feel empowered, and who don't want to submit to the BLM "I'm oppressed" ideology. There are plenty of people of colour who feel that this movement automatically makes them believe they are undervalued and it's up to society to fix it. Some are trying to break free from this stigma, but there are too many white people participating who feel charitable towards them. There are better ways to address inequality and racism if you're serious about it.

  • +19

Propaganda is not a deal. I don't see any Armenian pride that recognises the genocide or Israeli pride themes, where are they???

  • +17

Big no no. more like I wanna loot and burn, and let me use BLM to justify my action. A hoax indeed

    • +2

93% of protests are peaceful but don't let facts get in the way of a good narrative

      • so how many percent of cops kills black people?

Let's be consistent here, if the number of cops killing black people is 7% or less then by your logic not a problem?

        • Comparing property damage to human beings being killed. Truly cucked

          • @WinstonWithAY: Don't you know about all the black on black killings during the riots? Especially in the police free zones. The property damage was just part of what happened. The looting of either black owned or business with black employees is somehow justified because killing human beings are worse? All should be condemned, only the left want to condemn certain acts and not others.

Let's put aside hysteria and call out BLM for what it really is. Stop calling every police shooting of a black person a racist act, otherwise you have to apply the same principal to when a black person kills white police officers.

  • +10

Make it stop! Ozbargain is my happy place…. Stop fighting about stupid political garbage I beg you

  • +5

Next Will be Sack Dan and what’s his name the WA Premier is a God .
    For @# sake !

  • +12

Hate group. No more acceptable than a deutscher Gruß skin.

  • +10

All the negs in this post have just confirmed for me the inherent racism in so many Australians. This is a bargain site. What is being offered is free. It only deserves a +1. Take a long hard look at yourselves if you negged this bargain, and keep your kids away from mine.

    • +13

      Waddadouche

    • +4

Don’t worry I wouldn’t take my kids to the Cottonball Club .

I know it’s hard to understand the negs are coming not because of racism it’s because not appropriate for a bargain site propaganda.

      Boo lol

    • +11

So much for freedom of speech.

      • +2

Having a right to free speech doesn't give you a right to be wrong or stupid.

        • +16

Believe it or not, it actually does. Freedom of speech is worthless if only for the things you agree with. It's when defending the words of those you disagree with that freedom of speech is truly free.

          • +2

@Mixhael: I don't think climate change deniers or anti-vaccine activists should have a platform when they reject reality and promote things that actively cause harm to others. I'm not a free-speech absolutist and I think that free-speech absolutism is a stupid idea.

            • +3

@WinstonWithAY: I believe absolute free speech is the best idea because anything else requires someone to decide what is "right". And such a thing would have to be enforced by the government. While it's easy for us to deride climate change deniers or anti-vaxxers, limiting freedom of speech would also stop progressive ideals from forming. Imagine the first people proposing an end to slavery. It would be unrealistic of the times and could easily be stifled by the majority and government under your view of "freedom" of speech.

              • @Mixhael: Out of curiosity, what is your take on defamation and the spread of misinformation with regard to the right to absolute free speech, do you believe that should be disallowed or should it be acceptable as it would be exercising your right to free speech?

Personally I believe The right to freedom of speech is very important but also think people should should be punished for the spread misinformation which includes defamation as misinformation can cause such intense issues to the point I believe despite freedom of speech rights it should be punished.

        • +1

          Upvoted by accident, sorry ;-)

    • +10

I just took a long hard look at myself. I love and admire what I see. Would still neg this.

    • +9

Claiming all lives matter makes you racist?

    • +7

Typical intellectually corrupt leftist who accuses anyone who doesn't agree with them as being racist.
People like you are the exact reason the political discourse is so toxic and why people are rallying so hard against nonsense like this.

Words like racist, nazi and far right have lost all meaning because anyone who doesn't agree with the left is labelled them. We now have absurd situations where organisation such as Antifa, BLM are protesting and screaming at black police officers or black trump supporters or heroes like Daryl Davis while calling them racists. And those saying it genuinely believe it. It's a total embarrassment.

      • +2

    Free is not a bargain.

  • +15

    No deal 🙅

  • +18

    Supports racial segregation

  • People have thought Rod M is supporting BLM. Lol

  • +5

Why did ozbargain website suddenly change to black and orange? Is it really choosing a political side now?

    • +3

Orange is the Ozbargain brand colour, the black is your dark mode enabled lmao

      • +4

Not dark mode. I'm talking about the navigation bar or maybe i haven't ever noticed lol

  • +19

negged — you know very well why

  • +14

Sorry but I don't see how changing my ps4 theme can contribute in anyway whatsoever to BLM. Who am I showing this to?

  • +1

For once I'd say it's probably better to avoid reading or contributing to the comments section on this one. Unless you hate yourself/others

  • +25

Not a bargain, just left wing political propaganda.

  • +15

    No bargain here

  • +23

    Propaganda. No deal

  • +7

Yeah last time i commented on a post like this, ironically quoting a funny line from a movie (with no foul language, have to be off your chops to be offended by it), i got a 2 week BAN for "hate speech". No kidding.

    Good luck folks.

    • +1

      What was the line?

      • Han solo's religion line..

      • Sorry, OzBargain is strictly a Star Trek only site. Only Star Trek quotes are acceptable.

        • The needs of the many…

    • +3

LOL, after this half of OzBargain will get a ban, don't be surprised if you see less deals in following days and weeks.

    • Incorrect. Sorry, you're full of shit.

      • To quote Jar Jar this time…. "How rude".

      • +1

Hey neil, just wondering why was this moved to the forum?

        • I'll add to the OP for clarity.

  • +11

    Tone deaf.

  • +9

    Don't see the deal, sorry.

  • +16

Another ideology promoting the racialisation of society.

  • +14

This is propaganda near equal to that of critical race theory in schools. How disgustingly sad! 🤢

  • +18

Why is Sony supporting an openly Marxist organisation?
An organisations that commits physically violence to those that oppose them and who is allied and worked with Antfia to hold "peaceful protests" which have caused the most damage in recorded history….

If Sony support BLM then the question is when is Sony they planning on returning the means of production to their workers? When is Sony moving it's factories to America in areas that will support poor black people?
The answer is never because this is nothing but the most blatant and pathetic virtue signalling you could ever imagine.

    • The corporations are supporting it because they will get heaps of bad press coverage by the leftist media if they don't…it's all about money at the end of the day.

  • +9

Not a deal, has always been free.

  • +13

BLM as a concept is very logical and I can support it. However the current BLM has long since gone too far and become a tool for corporations to improve their PR. The exact same organisations who use child labour and pollute environments to please their profit margins, therefore their shareholders. What a joke, all the people here who still support this bs please research some of your news sources a bit better and use a brain a little before blindly supporting BLM. Of course, be smart with your research too and don't end up like a moronic anti-vaxer.

  • +15

Leave the simplistic, edgy teen politics out of ozbargain

  • +12

All lives matter. Keep this sh*t out of Ozb

  • +9

I reject the assertion that communist violence in the guise of a protest is a "deal".

  • +10

Spare a moment for the real victims of this post: the moderators. They'll likely be roasted by both sides for "not doing enough".

  • +5

I came here for a bargain, but got more than I bargained for.
    Wow, just wow.
