CTRL (Catered to Real Life) Meal Replacement Powder 23% off 1.5kg (20 Meals) $84.70 @ Rogue Pixel Distributors

OZBARGAIN23

Hi Everyone,

I'm the director of Rogue Pixel Distributors, two weeks ago we finally got CTRL (Catered to real life) Meal Replacement powder to Australia. This is our first exclusive product coming in from the United States, and has been really popular over there.

Once we tried, we knew we had to bring it to Aus. It literally tastes like the bottom of the cereal bowl, I have been having it every morning for brekky, and even a late night snack, it even has real cereal pieces in it.

To celebrate, I thought I might run a special Ozbargain code for a week from today. If anyone would like to try it, this gives you time to purchase a sample kit, then a big bag if you like. We are holding this sale until Friday the 23rd of October, which will give you enough time to order a sample kit, and then a big bag if you like. With this code, it works out to be under $4.50 a meal!

Any questions please shout out. I've posted some videos from CTRL's official YT channel, along with nutrition labels of each flavour as well. I personally love Cinnamon Toast and Fruity Flakes.

Coupon Code: OZBARGAIN23

What exactly is meal replacement powder and why does a serving cost the same amount as a big box of corn flakes?

    • Hi Dagmar,

Meal replacement shakes are a healthy food supplement designed to give your body nutrition in the form of proteins, vitamins, healthy fats, carbs, and fiber. It is good that you mentioned corn flakes as CTRL tastes just like the bottom of the cereal bowl. Meal replacements are great for people that are time poor, or don't want to waste money on a large breakfast or greasy junk food late at night.

      • I'd rather buy a box of wheatbox for $4 that will provide me with 80 servings.

Fuel for Keyboard Warriors <tm> :)

  • Is shipping included or is it extra?

    • Hi punkindrublic,

It is extra, but low cost.

Tastes like the bottom of a cereal bowl

That's a weird way to market a product. If the price wasn't already enough to turn me off it, this was.

Especially considering the flavours provided don't exactly scream healthy and having tasted the American alternatives.

    • Fair enough pennypincher98.

      It is not for everyone.

      Cheers.

      • May I just ask quickly what the bottom of a cereal bowl tastes like to you?

        • To me it tastes like an extra sweet flavoured milk beverage.

    • Are you able to provide some feedback on the American alternatives you tried which do scream healthy?

      Thanks

      • That's just like saying can I provide feedback on the healthy menu at McDonald's.
Healthy American cereals are Wheat Bran and Cheerios, but they are both bland af.
Thankfully there's more choice in Australia.

        • It is a protein based shake, I read your comment as you have tried other meal replacements before.

CTRL Alt Delete this deal :)

    • Thanks for the feedback. This deal is the highest percentage off we have held on our site, I love OzBargain as a member, and thought it would be a good deal to run for the community.

      Cheers

  • Is this like OPTIFAST or OPTISLIM?

    • Hi Limucat,

Very similar concept, tastes very different IMHO.

      Cheers

  • This stuff tastes legit great

    • Thanks for the feedback Shpeshal Ed!

  • Thanks. Love this stuff. Try it with half milk and half water first and then work out what is the best balance for your taste.
Try the sample pack first to see which one you like the most.

    • Glad to hear you like it danielh, my go to is half milk and half water at 450ml, and two ice blocks. :)

  • Not a deal.

Here's another meal replacement shake at under $2 a serve. https://www.bulknutrients.com.au/products/total-meal-replace…

And if you want a cereal, you can whip something up real quick with just adding some whey protein (or alternative) protein to the milk you put on normal cereal, and have similar macros once you work out the amounts. Add a multi vitamin for extra bonus and still be significantly cheaper then what's pretending to be a deal here.

    • Thanks for the feedback.

  • Does it taste like the bottom of the cereal bowl?

  • 280 calories??
Is it 23g per scoop or meal?

    • Hey Willco88,

23g per serve (meal). One meal is two scoops.

      280 calories with water.

      • 75g per meal then? Isn't that only 30% protein per meal?

  • +3

Ok I don't mean to be a hater, but this is just an overpriced protein powder with added vitamins to make it a "meal" replacement. Whey concentrate is the low end of protein and it really doesnt justify the huge inflated price of $85 for 1.5kg, or $110 regular price of essentially what is whey concentrate with added vitamins is pretty pathetic. and the whole meal replacement scam of upping the dosage of protein to increase the calories is ridiculous.

Mass gainers do this and it's pretty scammy. Shit whey concentrate serving size 100g, wow now you get a shake that is 600cal.

TLDR $85 for 1.5kg whey concentrate.

    • Thanks for the feedback.

    • That's why I said 75g meal only 23g protein very low quality.

My protein is 40g per serve with 30g protein = 75% protein and only 155kcal not 300+

I'm sorry but this product seems very low quality and overpriced.

People need to do their research!!!

      • But it tastes yummy though! 😀

    • I’m trying to gain weight and I learnt that Mass gainers from what mates told me is just packed with sugar? Is that right? Is there a mass gaining or similar product you recommend? Thx

      • Don't bother with them I'm in the same boat, and after looking them up all they do is increase serving size to increase the calories. And as you said alot of sugar. I just use aminoz whey protein isolate for the protein base it has the least amount of ingredients just mainly protein. Then I put oats, bananas, peanutq z butter, flax seeds, chia seeds, mixed berries, yoghurt, kale, spinach and I use a litre of oat milk. Vary your ingredients as you like I load up about three tablespoons of peanut butter as it has a lot of calories.

I drink this for breakfast it gives me about 600+ Cal's and it surprisingly doesn't fill me up that much, which means you can eat more in a few hours. It gives me about 2 litres which I split up into 3 bottles.

Lookup the list of ingredients for all the mrps and mass gainers it's mostly junk with crap protein. Only way to gain weight is eat alot more than you think and this helps me get calories in and it's pretty healthy.

      • Don't worry about buying a mass gainer. They normally (but not always) low nutrient carbs (ie, sugars) and fats (palm oil).
Stick to a high quality whey isolate, like Dymatize ISO 100 post workout.
Eat more peanut butter with mashed bananas on the aldi high protein bread, avocado smoothies, chia and milk pudding with protein powder and almond meal, more fatty meats.
