    Doubt it would make much difference to Woolies. A 5% discount doesnt influence me to shop there. It's my local (as is Coles & Aldi) so will be business as usual. Main this is to monitor specials as that is more important than the 5% (no matter where one shops). I think it might have more of an influence on Dan Murphys as its easier for me to shop elsewhere BUT again like Woolies, if the price is better elsewhere then I shop there. 5% was just a convenient bonus. No doubt different for others.

    So far only Cashrewards and Suncorp reported about the disocunt reduction.There are no announcmenets from anyone else.
    Perhaps it means that the discount will stay at other sellers (like Shopback, Entertainment book, etc).

      Would have thought BONUS's were a way to gain extra traction for supplier and in turn good advertising. As this is coming to an end…….why offer a BONUS as there are no future gains for either party (CR or Wollies)?

        future gains are customers accepting the future 3% and buying them anyway.

          But you are already their customer and to get the 5% Woolies discount you need to go via CR link regardless. You are either going to top-up before this deal expires tonight or not. I doubt offering e.g. a $2 Bonus is going to suddenly convince current Wish Card users to top up. Getting the final 5% is bonus enough.

    Interesting, just added another card as a test and now there's an alert at the top of the checkout page:
    "We have made changes to our Branded eGift Cards redemption policy. For more details, Click here."

    But the link just takes you to a generic help page…

      I think it's referring to only being able to use the gift cards at specific brands from the 21st October. If you bought the gift card before that date it can be used at all Woolworths brands.

      Please note that as of 21 October 2020, when you purchase a Branded eGif Card from our
      website, it will only be redeemable within the brand for which the Store eGif Card is branded.
      This means,
      ● BIG W Store eGif Cards will only be redeemable at BIG W, online and in store.
      ● Woolworths Store eGif Cards will only be redeemable at Woolworths Supermarkets &
      Metro, online and in store.
      ● BWS Store eGif Cards will only be redeemable at BWS, online and in store.

        Buy a new card for BigW DanM etc as their discount remains at 5%

    I noticed entertainment book has quietly (well at least i don't recall seeing anything) dropped the discount on wish cards to 3% as well as cash rewards. Glad i stocked up on some last week. Should last for a while.
