Great price on a condenser dryer, includes 2 years warranty, delivery and removal of old appliance. Been looking to buy a dryer for a while and have finally jumped the gun on this one. Reviews are mostly positive. Last time it was on sale was in June for $599.

Condenser dryers use more energy than heat pump dryers.
Thanks virhlpool, back to you in the studio Tom.
Vented Dryers use more energy than condenser dyers AND heat pump dryers.
FWIW - Hanging clothes uses less energy than all those options. :)
I don't know. I assume the sun burns a lot of energy to produce the heat required to dry clothes? Considering how far the heat travels it's probably enormously inefficient way to dry clothes?
That's incorrect. Condenser dryers use more than vented, as they are essentially a vented dryer+dehumidifier in the same package. They don't use as much energy as they would if you ran a dryer and dehumidifier individually as some of the heat gets recycled, but it's definitely more.
Seems like a waste of money when you can buy the Esatto 7kg Heat Pump Dryer EHPD7 for $665
I love my Esatto dryer it works very well.
why waste of money? - genuine Q
A Heat Pump dryer is much more energy efficient and drys clothes better (Although not always as quickly)
If I wasn't going to buy a heat pump dryer I would buy a $200 Aldi dryer.
What are some other things you'd buy if you weren't buying a heat pump dryer?
Is that code generic and for all items?
