Slightly cheaper than the Ebay deal posted earlier today, but looks like you'll have to wait for new stock to arrive (2-4 weeks).

  • Where to find rams for these, aside from Synology?

    Single or dual rank sodimm?

      • This one mentions dual rank, but no such a thing for 4GB sodimm ddr4 2666mhz. All the ones i can find are single rank.

        • Are you kidding? There is links of what to buy in the article directly to products on Amazon including 4GB Single-rank DIMMs which are unofficial but known to work/tested. The rank value is more a function of the DIMM capacity.

Even if you do not want to buy from Amazon, you can copy the part numbers and buy directly from Crucial or Kingston, or see if a local reseller stocks it. StaticIce is a good option to search for stockists and pricing of a part number, ie http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=CT4G4SFS8266&sp…

          • @Monsta-AU: No, I am not kidding.

This is quoted from the article

VERY IMPORTANT – The Links used in the article below towards the correct unofficial memory are occasionally changed (beyond my control) as it will direct you to the site in your own region/country. MAKE SURE to check that the memory module (especially 16 and 32GB SODIMM modules) are DUAL RANK or ‘DR‘, as Synology NAS typically have trouble with SR/SINGLE RANK modules.

    • Any ram could work, but many don't. You can just search around the internet to see what has worked for other people, the synology subreddit is good.

  • should I cancel and reorder? Should I not? The real struggle lol.

    • I pulled the trigger on the ebay deal and will probably stay with it. AU stock costs more but: 1) It's in stock 2) Local warranty .
Given the price shown here, it's very possible we might see some better deals during the Black Friday Sale for this particular item. If that happens, I'm hoping price protection on the CC will kick in.

      • i don't have 28 deg… just normal Amex

    • +1

Dont cancel it man. The ebay synology deal is actually cheaper since we get a 5% cashback from shopback. SO $775.2 comes down to $736.8 with the cashback which is cheaper than this offer.

      • are ppl still using shopback? you're brave

I have had some unexpected expenses but really should pull the trigger on the DS920+
This is the lowest it's been I think…
