Thanks OP. I guess its another Mercedes 1 2 lol. Hope Max can do something though.

    • +6

And Grosjean taking some innocent driver out too!

    • Hopefully the weather makes it interesting.

    • +22

      Ferraris are red
      Red Bull is blue
      Friday was a washout
      Mercedes 1-2

    • Max was actually matching and beating Mercedes pace until q3. Here's hoping he brings it in the race.

  • +1

Noooooo- if I didn't have work in the morning…

    • -1

current era isnt even worth staying up for sometimes. theres been 2 or 3 good races out of the dozen + this season. motogp is a lot more interesting without marc marquez this year

      • But at other times (Mugello for example), it's well worth it

      • +14

There has only been 10 races this season.

        Some have been exceptionally good.

People always say that X years ago it was way better. They said it during Vettel's dominance and during Schumacher's dominance. I tend to disagree. Yes, Hamilton usually wins with Bottas usually second, and Verstappen at their heels but there is some extremely hard fighting directly behind them with McLaren, Renault and even racing point doing exceptionally well. Even Ferrari are coming back this year with LeClerc starting in position 4 today.

The midfield hasn't been this tight in a long time. I'm enjoying it.

Edit: also if you don't want to jump through hoops fort he von you might as well set up a Kayo subscription.

        • +5

Agreed. Would love to see some more variety in terms of race winners, but the midfield battle has been sensational this year! Just need Danny Ric to get score a podium so we can see Cyril make good on their bet ;-)

          • +3

@CamM: Can't wait for Cyril to show us his tats!

            • +2

@Antarius: Indeed! Great to see Cyril making good on it too.

So thrilled to see Dan score that long-awaited podium - he drove a brilliant race. Sure he had some luck, but that defending against Perez was pure class.

        • -3

This year there there has been good races but in general it's been shocking for the last few years. Previously, retirements happened more often with less reliable cars, so there was a chance of other teams finishing on the podium or even a rare win. Even different tyre manufacturers which suited certain circuits. Gaslys win was the first time in 7 years that one of the big 3 didn't win. Says more than enough about current F1. Hopefully a change will come soon.

    • It starts in 30mins

  • No more live F1 on commercial TV?? shows how long I haven't watched TV.

    • +5

not for many years, apart from the Melbourne F1 round

    • pretty sure it's on foxtel.

      it's defos on kayo

      • +2

I wonder if we’ll ever see Kayo in 4K.

        • +2

          maybe after the lizard dies.

kayo has a massive memory leak rn, about 100mb every minute..

          • +1

@akib: On what device? No issues for me tonight on Chrome on Windows.

            • +1

@sween64: Fine for me on chrome/brave, Samsung tv app and my mobile app. Use all three regularly.

            • @sween64: Windows 10 Chrome.

Maybe it's one of my extensions.

  • Instead of using expressVPN, would using the Opera browser (available of mobile and desktop) and setting the built in VPN to Europe work? Europe IP is in Sweden.

    • +7

It's on Kayo which is free anyway…

typing it in bold doesnt make it true

typing it in bold doesnt make it true

Unless you're new here, 3 month Kayo memberships were free until late September.

        • +1

So every free trial should be posted as a free deal?
          Got it.

          Your inconsistency is definitely consistent

            @SBOB:

So every free trial should be posted as a free deal? Got it.

Kayo free trial is 14 days.

This deal was free for 3 months and you could re-activate it after it expired. It's been posted here a few times. Did you miss out?

            • +1

@jv: As mentioned that already ended. So depending on when your 3 month period ended, it's definitely not free for everyone anymore.

              • -1

                @Hazza:

                As mentioned that already ended.

                Yes, I mentioned that.

So depending on when your 3 month period ended, it's definitely not free for everyone anymore.

There was nothing stopping you from creating a new one in Sept.

My current free one now finishes mid Dec. Don't think I've paid for Kayo for about 2 years now thanks to OzBargain.

                • @jv: Where did I say I didn't create a new one in Sept? lol. You need to read properly. Just because some of us did, does not mean everyone did, so as I said the first time, its definitely not free for everyone anymore.

Yep I have had Kayo free for over 2 years from the various deals, as well as had 3+ years free Netflix.

                  • -2

                    @Hazza:

its definitely not free for everyone anymore.

Not anymore, but if they didn't get it, they've nobody but themselves to blame.

The race was pretty boring anyway, so they didn't miss much…

                    • @jv: No, most people don't blame themselves, they just move on. Still doesn't make it free for everyone..

Go Dan! That's all I needed.

                      • @Hazza:

Still doesn't make it free for everyone..

It was free for anyone with an email address…

                        • @jv: Wrong again, you needed a mobile number too… ROFL!!! Plus the rest as discussed.

                          • -3

                            • @jv: @JV you have no clue what you are talking about lol… Go try and make another account and let us know how it goes tiger

                              • @Tekon:

@JV you have no clue what you are talking about lol… Go try and make another account and let us know

                                Offer expired end of Sept.

I still have a few codes, but they can no longer be used I believe. Will try one again in Dec.

                            • @jv: So you didn't need a mobile number to get the sportsbet codes? Good luck to you. Still doesn't make Kayo free for everyone right now.. ROFL

                              • @Hazza:

So you didn't need a mobile number to get the sportsbet codes?

No, just an email address, even a fake one worked…

You just copied the code that was generated. I stored some away and kept reusing them.

                                • @jv: Actually yeah it was Kayo that required a mobile number, so the first time creating an account, you needed a mobile number.

                            • @jv: Yes you do. Can’t sign up to a previously used mobile number for the free trial

                              • @Griffindinho:

Can’t sign up to a previously used mobile number for the free trial

You could apply the 3 month codes to any account any number of times that had previously had a free trial. I swapped between two accounts so always had Kayo available.

                                • @jv: Yeah I used the bet easy code. Since it’s gone now and my 3 month trial expired, I had to pay $25 for this month lol

                                  • @Griffindinho: You should have set a reminder and reactivated again before it expired. That would have taken you to December.

                                    • @jv: How could I reactivate a 3 month trial?

                                  • @Griffindinho:

I had to pay $25 for this month lol

Telstra customers can get if for $15 per month by the way….

                                    • @jv: Well I’m not Telstra and I paid with itunes

    Onya Dan

  • Formula one is boring. You guys should watch motogp

    • Already watch both, but MotoGP is over quickly so need more sport fix than just that.

    • +1

both are enjoyable although Miller has some sort of Webber curse

    • Could not bring myself to watch it this year after Marc crashed out while making a spectator comeback.

      • +1

Agree Marc is a freak and love watching him if he is racing but the racing in motogp has been phenomenal this season with a whole bunch of other guys from various teams standing up with something like 7 different winners, 15 podium finishers thus far

Unless you prefer a sport where one guy/team dominates the season which gets a bit too predictable

        • I fully agree with all of that but as you said Marc is a freak, that dude is not human. When you watch Lewis cruise to another win 10 seconds ahead of second place, it doesn't seem like he faught a battle. Even if he "just" wins by a second and a half, out of 60 laps he was probably only under threat by a undercut for 5 laps tops. However in MotoGP oh man no matter where you are, you are under threat and to watch Marc ask "big questions" 😂 of his front wheel while darting down the inside and see how hard this kid works and to win, his determination to MotoGP is the definition of watching a warrior in battle. And not to mention how many times has he lost the win on the last corner but yet he is still full of smiles and positive energy and good sportsmanship. I know the Championship is wide open now and we're seeing some good battles and such but I have to say, no one is in Marc's league, not even close, that dude is a machine and it's such a shame he lost it whole making such an insane charge through the field, goes to show just how much he pushes the bike.
