To pricematch Coles' 4kg bags for $4.97 special Bunnings have cut the price of their 7.5kg bags to the same $/kg being $1.24/kg.
Heat Beads 7.5kg BBQ Briquettes $9.30 (was $12.98) @ Bunnings

Bunnings could have better availability though.
They will even put them into your car too!
+1 Flybuys points :)
Adding to gamemaster's points, Coles gift cards can be had for a larger discount than Bunnings (e.g 4% for Coles GC vs 2% for Bunnings via AGL rewards)
Where do I can purchase Coles gift card at discount rate please?
Thanks
They never make the effort to go cheaper though at Bunnings
My Coles have never had the local $5 special in past and in general not much space for much stock either with this chain-wide one. So Bunnings could end up having the required availability in the end.
(well not for me personally, got way more than enough unopened briquettes already!)
Don't even bother with click n collect at Bunnings, unbearably slow (for me at least).
How do you mean?
Bunnings had my item ready the next day
Anybody knows if these expire?
yeah, when they turn into diamonds, they dont burn so well.
but on serious note, i buy these in bulk and they stay under patio for up to and sometimes over a year and i dont ever have issues with it.
Thanks op
Bunnings is the back up if Coles run out of selling Heat Beads. None left at 5 Coles stores within 5km diameter area of my home location.
thanks for the post! Couldn't find any stocks from Coles and ordered 5 bags
I noticed the price change today but I still think you are better off with Coles deal for the following reasons:
- Smaller 4kg packaging is better for storage and reduces the risk of having left over briquettes in an open bag.
- Flybuys points
- Coles discounted gift cards, I find are easier to get hold of than Bunnings.
- Coles is generally closer to most people than Bunnings
