    AU or Chinese app integration?

    • AU

      • +5

can i confirm this is the "global" version
i.e dont need to use chinese server?

        • I need to know this too, don't want to use a separate app.

  • Do you have the Air Purifier Pro H (AC-M7-SC)?

  • +7

On Kogan for $189 if you have Kogan First (free trial is 14-days) its free delivery and with AMEX deal ($20 off $100 spent) it is $169 delivered :-)

    • I did exactly this last night. :)

      • Rip dont have AE :(

    • +2

Just remember to cancel the Kogan First straight after ordering
I did the same and just forgot to cancel and got charge $99 which is a rip off :(

      • I actually paid for 1 month of Kogan First because I’ve trialled before and it was the same price as the postage. I am trialling the purifier and if it’s good I can get a few more within the month before canceling KF.

    • I'm trying to register with Kogan for the first time and when I'm subscribing to the First, it says "you have already used the Kogan First". How can it be possible when I'm just registered. Has anyone faced this issue earlier?

I have raised a ticket with customer care and waiting to hear back from them.

      • Yea, I think they do some sophisticated stuff behind the scenes (such as IP matching etc..) to prevent people from doing the repeated free-trial (like people do with eBay plus). I do think their system is overly sensitive. Couldn't be bothered with dealing with support so just paid $11.99 for 1 month, assuming I will buy more than 1 item from them in the 30-day period.

      • use your phone with your telco ip in private browser mode.

    • Super warry about buying from Kogan.
Some one reported on ozbargain that bought the 3h advertised as global and received a CN version with Chinese plug.

Also, other global versions sold by other sellers have European plugs. Not all global versions have AU plugs.

Did you receive your purifier from Kogan?

      • Nope, however they posted 2 packages, one is a black figure 8 power cord AU plug. Assuming they just ship the CN version with the AU power plug in addition? Not too worried myself as long as it works :-)

      • Bought my one from Kogan and got a global version with a 2-prong EU plug. Kogan sent a figure 8 AU/NZ plug separately. Depending on the retailer I think most retailers will supply an AU plug whether its the global version or Chinese version (I would hope). One gripe I would have is that the cable is not long enough

      • +1 I recently made a purchase from Dick Smith (that's Kogan now right??), and it arrived with parts missing. The initial response to my complaint was "order has been delivered". The response to my 2nd complaint was "please send photos of what is missing". I'll send photos of the inclusions list from the instruction manual, but I know this grief isn't going to end any time soon unless I just give up.

        • Sorry to hear that. They are just unreliable and dodgy af. Buying from them is taking a risk to end up in your exact situation and seriously I have other things to do than fighting with them and waste my timer.
I'd rather wait for a deal on ozbargain (like I did I've been waiting for a month to see a good deal on the 3h which I just secured 2 days ago) than buy from Kogan.

I mean I read too many horror stories to even consider from them.

Don't give up mate, you paid for a product you should get exactly what you purchased.

          Good luck

  • Is this the 3H version?

    • Yes

  • +2

Do you stock the Hepa Filter only?
I want to buy some filters

    • +1

      Me too

      • Kogan has it for $49 and Matt Blat for $45, shipping is steep at $10.99 but if you buy a few the freight fee goes down (on average).

Also, does the filter fit in older Xiaomi Airpurifiers?

        • +1

The new true HEPA ones do fit the older model, I am currently using it with my Mi Airpurifier 2

  • Hey there, thanks for the deal!

Stupid question, do I need eBay plus to buy this?

    • Yes.

      • Thank you

      • Wait really? I just purchased it without it and seems to work? Took coupon an well? Odd, as it definitely says "Plus Members get 21%"

  • Do you find it useful? is it for people who leave in CBD? Any benefit for people leaving in the house in suburbs?

    • +6

i bought an Aldi purified at the start of the year and bought a 3H a couple of months ago. I live in the outer suburbs of Sydney and have always suffered from severe hayfever and general sinus issues. It's made such a massive improvement having this beside my bed, that I haven't experienced any sinus issues since installing. Big thumbs up from me.

      • same here.

I got mine just before the bush fires and it blew me away how quick it cleared the air in my bedroom. From severe asthma every night to peaceful sleeping.

I've even got it to come on at 9pm each night for half an hour just to keep the air clear, it's made such a difference.

        • +2

I bought mine during the bush fires and by the time it arrived the fires had passed. Lol.

          • @cuteseal: who did you purchase from? im worried about this with purchase from kogan deal or even this one

      • +1

Is the aldi one no good?

    • I just ordered one and I live regional. The air is nice and clean here and I don't have allergies, but I have a pet cockatiel which sheds quite a bit of fine dust/dander and fine feathers. I'm hoping this will help clean the air and save me dusting so often. It should also help with cooking odours, fireplace, etc. My Dyson vacuum filter picks up quite a bit of her white dust, so I'll be interested to see how this handles it.

    • Just wait until the bushfire season starts up again. Good for purifying that hazy smokey air.

    • +1

Was useful for the bushfires and my wifes asthma.

Also recommended if you live near a busy road or freeway.

  • +1

is it good at removing odors?

    • +2

Apparantly for odour removal the charcoal filter is supposed to be more effective than a HEPA filter. You can just swap the HEPA filter out for a charcoal one.

      • +1

These come with their true HEPA filters that have activated carbon layer in them

  • Nice air purifier to prepare for the pollen season!
Also comes with HEPA 13 filter

  • +1

Anyone who owns this, how often does the HEPA filter need replacement?

  • +1

    Any filters on sale?

    • Sold out at this moment.

  • Might wanna fix that typo 'Xiaomi Air Purifier Por'

    • Thanks, fixed.

  • I have a version 2 which is on the chinese mi server does that mean if I purchase this one, I won't be able to control it as its english version only?

Also, do people simply leave their air purifiers on 24/7?

  • How much do the filters cost and how often do you have to replace them?

  • +1

Is the pro the global model?

    • Yes

  • Would this be considered "Official AU Stock" or something else?

    • There are no different between machine, but we do not get stock from xiaomi agent in Australia.

      • Thanks.

  • +3

I would like to buy the Pro but confused about the versions.
Could someone tell me the difference?
Is it the 3 has a Aus plug and the Pro would require me buying a Aus adapter?

    • Wife has given me the go ahead to buy, I'd like to know the difference too…

    • Pro have Au power cord as well.

    • +2

From my research before I bought one of each, they are basically the same except the Pro should be able to cover a larger area/room(up to 60m.sq vs up to 45m.sq) however it does not use a 'True HEPA' Filter(though still a HEPA classed, just not as high as the one in the 3H), from my reading this means it is not as effective at filtering out the microscopic particles(mould, pollen etc, at 99% rating vs something like 99.79%) however to me, this feels like it is all a bit of marketing hype and for real-world use, it should still function to basically the same result(unless you're hyper sensitive for whatever medical reason, in which case I don't think either device would be what you're after).

      • +5

Forgot to mention the pro console 2x energy for approximately 30% more filtering capacity.
The 3h is definitely more efficient as it was released after the pro.

    • +1

Looks like Pro comes with a carbon filter not HEPA, but can be replaced with HEPA. 3H comes with HEPA.

  • +4

I got the 3H… it sits on 001 for air quality 99% of the time. Highest it has gone is 26 but that's after I sprayed an aerosol.

    • Is that a good thing or a defect?

      • +2

a good thing that my air is clean, but bad cause I spent money on it.

    • +3

lucky you, during bushfires mine was showing over 100 inside all windows closed

    • +2

It's actually a bad thing, as the sensor isn't sensitive at all.
I have separate room air quality sensor and it can go to 'bad' while the 3H remains at 001. Unfortunately, the 3H isn't that useful in Auto mode.

      • Yes most recommend to turn up to the highest level you are comfortable with noise wise. I leave mine on 2 during hayfever season.

      • My one sits on 001 most of the time too which suggests that it isn't that sensitive and that if left on auto, the fan will rarely jump into action when required. So whilst being on auto mode is OK for most of the time, you'd want to manually set it on 2 or 3 to get the fans blowing harder when you know there is bad air to be shifted e.g. cooking or dog farting a lot. I know even being on auto is working though because my allergies and hay fever is a lot better.

Hey @gearbite can you clarify your connection with this ebay oz_accessory store?
You usually post and link the ebay store called Gearbite.
Recently you also started to post deals pointing to a website https://www.shopro.com.au/

I've bought a Xiaomi product from your eBay Gearbite store and was really satisfied but I'm unsure what are these 2 other entities and what's their relationship with Gearbite

    • Would like to know as well

    • oz_accessory is another ebay store from gearbite.

  • +1

Also worth noting that the Pro version is already superseded by the Pro H (model number AC-M7-SC) in China, which uses a different filter to the one shared by Air Purifier 2, 3 and Pro.

  • Is there an estimated delivery time please?

    • Will ship in 1 business day, very depend on where is your location.

      • Do you still have stock?

    • I've received shipping notification with tracking. I don't expect it to arrive quickly though, AusPost delivery times are pretty erratic at the moment, especially here in Vic.

      • Well impressive postage time, arrived already!

  • Having issues making a purchase via ebay plus at the CC stage - its not able to process two valid CCs for last 30min. Anyone else with this prob?

  • I bought a Kmart one for $159 recently and I can not feel any difference in the Air quality. Thinking of returning it and getting a 3H after reading all the reviews here

  • Damn I missed our on 3h whilst looking up differences on both models.

  • Can someone update post to Oos? Or is this deal going to get more stock soon

    • Report the deal yourself

  • +2

    Getting anymore OP?

  • Is this version much better than the 2?
