  • It's not 70% off.

You've been selling this for 71.40, not $119

Misleading price comparisons are illegal under ACCC laws…

    • Thanks for flagging. $119 was it's original RRP. I've removed this from the post now.

      • You are comparing to a price that you have not been selling it for recently.

It is very clear on the ACCC website that that comes under misleading price comparisons

The customer would not be saving 70% if they purchased from you.

    • I don't think so, all sale is talking about the RRP, like Myer, David Jones, Kathmandu….. They have a 40% for 3 months and now they have 50%off RRP, they just say 50% off.

      • I don't think so, all sale is talking about the RRP

Pretty clear on the ACCC site that it is against the law to make a price comparison to RRP when you have not recently be selling at RRP.

        • Then u have to speak out a lot

        • +1

Most of the sale is talking about RRP like Dyson,Nike, SAMSUNG even Woolworths, Coles,BigW…..

          • @ti6331: Who normally do sell at RRP, where as this seller never sold them at RRP, thus their 'claimed' saving was misleading.

Read up on the ACCC laws…

            • @jv: RRP is just a ref, most of the post here talks about off of RRP, will sb say ' 50% off of last year /last month /yesterday's price '

              • @ti6331: Read up on the ACCC laws…

"when comparing a sale price to the recommended retail price (RRP) may be misrepresenting potential savings if the product has never been sold at the RRP"

"Statements such as 'Was $150/Now $100' or '$150 Now $100' are likely to be misleading if products have not been sold at the specified 'before' or 'strike through' prices in a reasonable period immediately before the sale commences."

                • @jv: No need to talk about law, we just talk about bargain here. If sth worths the price, it's a bargain. No worries about the RRP.
