      they're optional - the masks are already 3-layer, the filters add a 4th layer

        I don't profess to be an expert on this and I'm sure there are plenty of different approaches but I was under the impression that 3 cotton layers wasn't ideal. I understand there are plenty of other options out there less than ideal but might be worth noting in your description.

        Just had a quick look at the Vic Gov recommendations and they're suggesting outer layer - water resistant, middle layer - blend and inner layer cotton.

          This. I'd love to know of masks for sale meeting these latest recommendations, they all seem to be following earlier (now) outdated research.

          thanks but not ideal doesn't mean not effective

          the description states "Made from 100% cotton", but not if the whole mask or each layer is 100% cotton

      PS - you can buy those filters (and better, e.g N95) from many online stores (eBay, Amazon etc).

    Seems to be an OK price.

    Mentioned in comments above - there are filters inserts (currently OOS)… feels a bit like a printer with the filters as the equivalent consumables.

    I notice it doesn't said anything about filters being optional. It does say this, which makes me wonder "Keep your mask clean and hygienic with the Element Mask Replacement Filters"…

      yes, obviously wrong/false/misleading given that simply adding a filter doesn't make a mask clean or hygienic
