Not much introduction needed for this box and also not the cheapest ever but looks like pretty good deal.
They also have Mi TV Stick 1GB Version for USD39.59 (AU 50.68).
This or Vodafone TV is more of personal preference.

VodaTV doesn't play larger than 4 GB files unless you install workaround. The workaround isn't very good as well
There are plenty of workarounds using apps and also by stopping the upgrade to Android 9 as explained by 'enquiring mind' on whirlpool forums in detail.

I am using VodaTV. It is a PAINFUL process to stop the update as I can see in your link. Not even sure if it is a good idea just to "pull out the plug from main socket" as the link suggests! I am using the app option and the app doesn't provide a good experience at all i.e. a lot of the time the app just won't open the file so I gotta try a few times. I wish I purchased the Mibox instead of VodaTV to have a flawless experience.
@John K: Method works fine as attested by many Whirlpool forum members. Also, I prefer Ethernet connection over wifi and built in tuner is handy as it saves me switching back to TV all the time. Besides, Mi Box has had its fair share of issues too. If you want the best experience better get a Nvidia Shield TV or Apple TV imho.
@dealhunter52: Completely agreed, Nvidia Shield would be THE BEST option but again, it is way too expensive for my requirements
@John K: I'm waiting for Black Friday deals on Nvidia Shield and hopefully AUD will get stronger by then (just passed 73 cents against greenback today and has gained 4.5 cents in last 6 weeks).
VodaTV does not support Kayo native app, so if you watch a lot of sport, MiBox is better. You can load a Kayo app via Kodi, but that is a bit basic and does not have nice features like picture in picture (watch multiple channels at once).
You can sideload or install via a 3rd party store.
No you cannot side load Kayo, you can only load a Kodi addon that has Kayo content, but it is not the real Kayo app. I have both the real Kayo and the Kodi addon and the real app is much nicer to use.
No you cannot side load Kayo
Yes you can. The only thing you miss out on is the PiP/Split screen. I’ve used that once on my Nvidia Shield TV and went ‘oh cool’ and then never used it again and don’t miss it on my VTV.
Apart from that the apps are exactly the same.
@Nousernamehere: Yeah, I and plenty of others have used kayo sideloaded…..
The lack of Kayo (and Binge+Foxtel now) support is annoying and seems deliberate by Foxtel.
Only thing stopping my mum from dropping fox completely (which is probably why I think it is a deliberate move by Foxtel).
Do you know if you can install the Expressvpn apk on the vodafone tv box?
good price Xiaomi best
My aliexpress order from April never arrived.
I had on of these and months later got a Foxtel Now Box out of curiosity for $49. I ended up selling on Gumtree my Xiaomi Box as I think the other one is better. It is cheaper, has ethernet connection, digital sound output, etc. At the end of the day both are very very similar in performance.

First time I have heard someone say the Foxtel Now Box is better than the Mi Box ;)
Considering that a Foxtel Now Box is only $49 (I got it even cheaper with a Kogan voucher), value-wise it is better in my opinion. And the performance is pretty much the same
Glad to hear you are happy with yours, but I have heard so many bad reports that I stayed away from Foxtel Now Box.. I have a MiBox and a VodaTV and the MiBox is smoother overall, especially for watching sports. Seems to have better CPU or graphics processor for handling fast motion. Probably not as good as Nvidia Shield but at 1/4 the price I can't complain.
One of the feedback from the Kogan website states chromecast don't work without Foxtel Now subscriptio, is that correct?
.
@w1nthrophy: Completely false. A comment from someone who simply does not know how to use the device. I use the Chromecast function all the time
Considering that a Foxtel Now Box is only $49 (I got it even cheaper with a Kogan voucher)
Got mine for free. Foxtel sent me an email telling me they were dropping Xbox One support but I can have a free Foxtel Now box instead.
I hadn't had an active Foxtel Now service in months (still don't), but they still sent me it, HA.
Can you sideload on the foxtel box?
Can we install and watch Foxtel Go Android App (not Foxtel Now) on this?
.
Not from my experience. I have the previous version of the mibox ( mdz-16-ab)and can only cast to it. Maybe someone else has managed to get it up and running and can comment here, but I have tried many times with different versions of their apps and have had no success.
Yep. Just use the built in Chromecast to stream Foxtel Go at the TV. That's what I do. The latest version is flawlese.
Can we install PrimeVideo app with this box?

this worked for me, haven't updated the app and it still works fine
Better off waiting for Google Sabrina, should be released soon or the newer xiaomi mistick not the current new one tho
Honestly I would buy if it wasn't on Alixpress, If you have any issues it's beyond a pain to try and resolve them.
Edit; Just notice Amazon has it for $85 delivered. Yes, it is $6 more but you get much much much better customer experience.
Everyone stop complaining and buy a NVIDIA shield. If you don't want to spend that much buy this. Simple. Seems like a very good price for it.
Meh, shield are an expense not everyone is wanting to pay….Though, I have found them to be a great machine(prefer the vodatv remote tho)
Then they should buy a mi box!
Also imo after the new update 2 days ago the ai upscaling on the 2019 shield is well worth the extra money.
Sorry might seem a dumb question does this have a wifi receiver built in so I can connect to my wireless modem and stream Amazon prime video thanks.
Yes, might need to side load prime tho. I'm not sure if it's natively available on the s but it's not on the 3. Easy to do tho. Save on USB and install
OK thanks
I have one and recommend. Works well, has one USB port on the back. Much better than the Fire stick that I had before.
Better get a Vodafone TV instead for $72 delivered with local warranty.
