u get CCP to watch your house for free…
some would say better than local securityNo worries, the CIA are watching the CCP.
If you google around, there are creepy stories of Chinese camera making the sound "hey baby…" at night when someone put it in the kids bedroom :))
I think I will use it for outdoor only
Cool, saving money on babysitters
Is this suitable for outdoor use? Weather proof?
It's not secure enough because only dodgy brother (China) is watching. You need big brother (USA) watching to get the rubber stamp.
Got that covered with my google assistant
Great, so at least two backup copies of your candid videos.
I got this xiaofang made by xiaomi, connection constantly dropping out and failed to connect within 5 meter range, not recommend.
Different model though?
Wish they'd fix google assistant integration. Other than that cant fault the cameras.
I don't think Gearbite are an authorised reseller? Be aware you get no official warranty.
Is that seller gearbite? It's automatically selected when I create this deal from mobile
Oh okay, I was just going off the title… either way they're probably not on the list.
I got a few of these different models, latest updated firmware version is different among them.
Performance is patchy on some and great on others. Still trying to figure them out.
Are they suitable for outdoor use outside main entrance?
Long as no water gets on them yes, wipe the dust after a few weeks.
Also need a power source.
I got one of these earlier this year. Anyone have any useful tricks for scanning the QR code when setting it up?
First time no problem. Second time it was a nightmare but eventually got it. Google didn't offer much help. Other than that I find a 64gb card records 7.5 days of footage. Overall happy with the device and apps to control it.
Xiaomi security cams are secure again right? Or are they still not trusted by Google?
