I LOVE INVITE ONLY DEALS, PLEASE MORE CASHREWARDS

i invite you to the small caps club..

  • AMAZON is the WORST when it come to cashback! It’s a lottery if they ever pay out. Many instances Amazon does not track the purchase and refuses to pay up. They are cheats so I don’t buy from Amazon anymore as I’m better off going with another retailer who I know tracks properly.

    • +7

I've never had Amazon not track for me. In fact of all the stores I shop from with CR or SB they seem to be the most reliable for me.

    • +3

I've had the opposite experience, Amazon has always tracked and paid out and I order dozens of items per month. eBay is the problem one for me, they rarely track and then try to claim a coupon code was used to avoid paying out.

    • +4

All my shopback purchases from Amazon tracked. It's CR who is at fault.

    • +1

I agree, I have had many ones not honoured for no reason.

Also if there is something wrong with your product and you get a replacment they cancel your cashback.

For me I asked if my Ryzen proceessor was meant to come with a game code (they were listed as a seller that should), and they just sent me a replacment without me asking. They were probably trying to be nice, but it cancelled my $30 cashback and the new processor didn't have a code either.

Would have been happier if they just told me their processors didn't come with the code and got to keep my cashback.

      • +1

That's different to my experience. When an item arrived damaged and had to be replaced I still had my cashback confirmed. Did you try contacting cashrewards?

        • I did, that cashback was through Shopback not Cashrewards though during one of their 10% promos.

According to them 'As per Amazon Australia terms and conditions, returns, exchanges & cancellations are not eligible for cashback. The merchant holds sole discretion in determining the cashback validity.'. So i suppose yours got accpeted mine got rejected by Amazon.

But also had issues through Cashrewards with Amazon not tracking.

    • Yeah. Me too. :-(

Maybe TA can enlighten us as to who the chosen few are!

    The eligibility criteria i mean

    • +3

Most likely people who haven't shopped at Amazon before, or some variation on that.

  • It said ineligible on mine, but did activate on wife's account. But she hasn't received an email. Should i just go ahead and purchase?

    • +1

      Yes

    • did your wife activate those ozbargain only offers

    • +1

"Should i just go ahead and purchase?"

      No - your wife should!

  • "Sorry, you're not eligible for this offer."

  • Was happy for a min.

    • One minute in heaven is better than none.

  • "Sorry, you're not eligible for this offer."

  • Received on my account, thanks OP

  • Sorry, you're not eligible for this offer.

  • Cashrewards targeting infrequent shoppers is telling.

  • F

  • it says "Your offer has been activated". am I good to go ahead?

  • Not eligible. Waaaaaa

  • Anyone who's registered for OzBargain by default will be a segment of users who don't get this targeted offer. we're already using Cashrewards on Amazon enough and apparently don't need any encouragement

    • +1

well, I can just use shop back for all I care

If you are being a dick, don't expect people to not retaliate

  • sadly.. not eligible as well.. maybe spending too much time & money in Amazon already :(

    • +2

Can't be that - I rarely spend any money on Amazon and I'm not eligible either.

I suspect it's targeted more at people who haven't used CashRewards for a while.

  • +9

$10 cashback, but $20 of your time to read all the T&C's.

  • Haha I thought updated means it changed to everyone eligible.

  • +1

Not eligible. F. Most likely targeting dormant accounts

  • +1

Time to go through the deleted emails!!

  • Sorry, you're not eligible for this offer.

Is it okay to pay with Amazon gift cards?

  • Thanks OP!
First time in a while i got something!
Only left now is to buy a 0% CB category item and crumble into a bottomless pit of misery.

  • +2

    Thanks OP.
    Any suggestion for $10 items?

    • Same! Just a little above $10.

      • Get yourself a 24pack bottled frantelle water and a chocolate bar haha. Works out for free :P

    • Yep, strongly dislike this tactic

  • Sweet got the deal! Thanks OP, wished it came sooner tho as I just bought from amazon on Monday and it was a 1 day offer only πŸ˜”

  • Ships from and sold by Amazon US, Pantry product. Will this qualify?

  • Thanks

  • Ineligible also.

  • Had my fingers crossed as I haven't used cash rewards for about 6 months now and would've used this now that there is cash back on toys.

    No luck though!

  • I am eligible apparently even though I can't find an email about this.
I think I've only gotten Amazon cashback once ever. I'll buy that trimmer in the over deal.

    • oh the trimmer isn't in a cashback category….any suggestions on stuff to buy?the quilton tissues could be good.

  • Sad - not eligible…

  • I bought something but it still hasn't tracked yet…

  • +1

More reason to always use shopback instead so that we'll be eligible when this type of deals happen.

Assuming this is only given to the ones that doesn't use cashrewards much.

  • +1

$10 bonus is ineligible for subscribe & save items? Can someone explain this? Purchase any product that has "subscribe & save items" option is ineligible?

    • +2

Subscribe and save items are always ineligible for cashback

  • Was expecting a $10 spend get $2 bonus. lol

  • Trash, declined my cashback which was showing activated and useless email representatives who play fool.

    Link card cashback never worked.

    Go Shopback.

    • +1

Hi phoenixpan. Really sorry to hear you’ve not had the experience you were hoping for. Please know that we don’t play anyone the fool. I’d like to investigate your claims if you’d be kind enough to PM me your ticket number and CR email address. Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks.

      • also got an instant decline tracking in account for purchase from pantry items over $10-
        care to investigate TA? cheers

    • tightarse helped check this case very carefully and thoroughly. I'd stick with the mobile app in the future as the browser environment is complicated and easily affected by unexpected plugins or cookies. Thanks for the efforts.

  • Unfortunately I wasn't eligible either. Pity. Good deal IMO.

  • got this thanks, now the question is, what can i buy from amazon without paying for Delivery.

      Sign up for Prime trial?

Cashback is ineligible on purchase of vouchers, gift cards, kindle unlimited, audible, mobile apps, subscribe & save items, prime subscriptions, and all categories/products listed at 0% cashback.

        • +1

That's for the purchase of Prime subscriptions, not if you have a sub and make a purchase?

I'm saying if they take up a Prime free trial and buy something then they won't have to pay for shipping. No?

          • @zzyss: My apologies. Yes, you are correct. Misinterpreted the original comment. All the best.

            • @tightarse: looks like, i have to get prime trial and then buy something, which is eligible for cashback to get $10 cashback. thanks guys

  • Thanks OP

  • Still looking for an ideal qualifying purchase - cheap as possible which meets the cashback criteria: any ideas?

    • +1

Pantry food and drinks is a qualifying purchase

  • I got the offer, but idk what to buy…

    • Pantry foods/drinks qualify

      • I bought from pantry and foods on 31st when it did qualify for 4%. A day later it tracks at 0% and rate has dropped to this from 1-Sep. I’ve submitted a query. Anyone else experience this?

Edit: Was in a non-qualifying category and not pantry.
