  I can tell you that the Picadilly does NOT look like that in real life.

  Oddly enough it resembles the old American 'Adult' cinemas where finding a set sans 'stains' is an adventure in itself.

  Keen. No other cinema in the CBD in Perth, so Picadilly is handy if I wanna catch something right after work and not have to make a separate trip out in the evening. Downside is the cinema itself gets a bit chilly in winter, but warmer weather supposedly on its way??????? (Please??)

  Picadilly is, well, a shit-hole. But one that was kind of awesome purely because of that, and the fact it was very cheap compared to the chain places. It had character.

  Unfortunately they upped the prices about a decade back to near-chain prices (whereas previously they were less than half). At which point the character factor was hard to appreciate.

  This deal brings them back to prices pre-hike. This is the price it should always be there though, considering the crappiness of the place. So I don't really consider it a deal. But it's not bad.

  Yeh I remember watching Medicine Man ( Sean Connory 1992 ) and the the reproduction was absolutely crap but you're right it was cheap. Hope they have refurbed since then.
