"Burlap" is a funny sounding word.

    • Very common in the uusa. Feed sacks were made from them and produce bags. Allows flow of air. .

  • This will be perfect for my belongings once I become homeless. Now to find a stick.

And this is a bargain becase???

10 x large potato bags $36.98 delivered from eBay

    • +2

You're comparing the cost of one bag versus the cost of ten bags. Hardly a fair comparison.

Or free at your local coffee roaster?

    • Have you tried to get from them? I thought they have to send those back?
Might be a good source for arts&craft projects

      • +2

I guess it depends on your roaster, my local gave me a bunch for a worm farm blanket.
They said they didn’t have a good reuse/recycling solution for them yet.

I suspect the issue with sending them back, is where to? Ethiopia? Guatemala? That seems problematic for small farm single origin beans. I also assumed the cost of the bag was built into the price.

        Recycling is hard in general.

      • My roaster has a stack out the front where you can help yourself. They don't send them back.

Most are printed with funky designs and "Cafe de Colombia" etc so I guess you could say they are more designer sacks than the Amazon offering.

        • depends might be organic single origin potatoes …. so very hipster potatoe sacks.
