Huepar Box-1G Self Levelling Laser Level - Green 45M Cross Line US$31.28 (~A$43.35) Delivered (AUS Warehouse) @ Huepar

BLACK20

Needed one of these and found the sale price buying direct with Huepar was much cheaper than Amazon ($88.95) or Aliexpress ($82.16). Bonus was that it also got shipped from their Australian warehouse!

A niche product perhaps, but some Ozbargainers might be cheap but insist on hanging all their pictures perfectly aligned and level. You never know.

Note that delivery from their Australian warehouse is entirely down to stock levels which I have no clue about. Mine was shipped from NSW.

Check out the Huepar site for all the details but the Box-1G is fairly powerful (up to 45m range) a 90 degree range for the lasers and also comes with pulse mode. So you could also get a receiver now or later for those outdoor jobs like a deck, concrete slab or fence that require levelling over a long distance.

Fairly decent reviews that I have seen.

Good for monitoring apartments in Sydney?

  • is it level?

You use the included magnetic mount, a surface or a tripod and get it close to level. It will self level +/- 4 degrees.

If it can't self level the beam will flash

  • Do you need to wear any special tinted/filtered protective glasses when this unit is in operation.
Obviously you would not stare directly into the laser but what about the laser reflection off a wall or such.
Do you need special eye protection glasses or not.
Is this device eye safe ?

Same as any other laser. Don't look directly into it.

Fine on any non-reflective surface like a wall. Just not a mirror etc.

  • Any body used these before? seem exceptionally cheap compared to the typical name brands seen.

Having used a few different lasers i highly recommend spending an extra $10 to get the model with plumb dots, very handy feature for a varity of tasks.

The 3x360 at $150ish is a great price too.

There's a review on Youtube where the guy compares it to his Dewault laser level. Both self levelled with the lines perfectly aligned.

He follows up a few months later saying it was going strong, the only thing he found is that where his Dewault one had strong lines directly above on the roof, the Box-1G was a little faint, so needed to sit a little further back from the wall.

I went the Box-1G as it had pulse mode and can pair with a receiver.

    Deelirium,

Could you elaborate on the advantage of plumb dots please.

Also, I hope to do the blockwork for a 0.6m foundation for my self-build house (29m long).

Would this laser be suitable for this job?

    Thank you.

Plumb dot helps transfer a point of reference from floor to ceiling (like center of a hallway to then do a straight line down for marking lights).

    • As Deloid Said, particualy good on doing ceiling layout work.
Another handy use is, when attempting to align the laser to a mark on the ground, being able to place the Dot over one part of the park then shoot the laser to a further point is far easier than trying to line up just the line itself.

  • Thanks!

  • This is really bright! It has 2 brightness settings, not sure I will need to use full power too often, probably only outside in sunlight.

First thing the missus said was "can you turn it down?"

  • I bought the green laser model with the plumb dots about a week ago - very happy with the accuracy and quality (+ included case).

Still not bright enough to use outside for more than a few metres though, but for the price and fast shipping, no complaints!

    • Could you comment on visible distance inside? Thinking of picking up a couple but use them a lot during the day inside fairly lit rooms. Not sure if these will suffice

      • The BOX-1G model that I got has 2 brightness modes. It is extremely bright on the higher setting.

When I first turned it on it went through several rooms and at a distance of over 10m was clearly visible on the curtains.

The range is given as 45m. Indoors it has no issues with being seen during the daytime.

    • Awesome. Wish I had that earlier

      • Thanks for the reply above. I bought two with plumb dots and range is 25m. At the price if they’re half as good as they say they’re a great buy. Thanks for the deal op

  • Wow, how can I contact with you. I want to have further exchanges and cooperation with you.
