    check how much refills are
    thats usually the killer!

its cheaper these days to buy a new printer when u run out of ink than refills! lol

I will check out my local ALDI, i want to buy this. Would be great to have a wireless scanner, and printer.

I've already got 3 printers including a wireless HP, but it's out of ink. I've got a cheap HP for ~$30, but i might as well buy this one for $50 cause it includes the 4 ink cartridges (CMYK i assume), plus the scanner.

I bought a hp b110a from HN 8 months ago. printed 2 a4 coolur pages, 1 a6 colour photo and 10 B&W a4 pages and I'm getting ink level warnings. email hp customer service and they were like "they are just calibration cartridges, so you will have to buy new ones" f**k that. HP you've shafted me. screw you and any return business. suck on it with you touchpads. sorry for the language but i'm pissed off.

      • Most/some printers only come with starter cartridges. Some companies will advertise this on the box, when they list the contents.
I've got an HP J110, and the cartridges are being displayed as 100% full (haven't used the printer yet). So i wonder if that means that the cartridges are regular, or it's a trick.

Even considering that the printers often come with starter cartridges, it can still be more economical to buy a new printer.

  • Good printer and good price, I actually bought one. But this is Aldi last week's deal. I doubt how many store still have stock now.

    • BTW, it's $49.

    • i have posted 45 deals to our ozbargain community and never ever received a neg and that was the first time i got neg by the person who never post any deal.

  • all new printers usually only come with starter cartridges. read how many ml are on the packet and you'd be surprised. its hard to get Lemark refills. however i heard that there is a special compatible cartridge you can buy to do refills on lexmarks?

  • Bought the Lexmark Intepret S405 for $60 from the Officeworks website a few months ago. It's got wifi and does the job. I just buy cheap refills on ebay.

  • I was in Officeworks today for a different purpose, and decided to see if they had this model, so i could try a price match.

They did, so i took it to the counter and said i want to price match Aldi, they have it for $49. The checkout girl went an got a Techworks guy, and he looked on the Aldi website for 5 minutes and couldn't find any mention of the deal. But he said to the checkout girl to just give me the price match because it was less than $30 difference, and that's what he had been told is their policy.

I didn't think i had much chance really, after reading bombcat's post. But i walked out with this printer for $46.50. :)
